I've got a new car.
It's not a Jaguar.
It's not "brand" new,
It doesn't have leather seats, but it HAS a CD player!
(Many of you will hopefully get the lyrical references above!)
Anyway, I DO have a new "used" car which I am thrilled with.
It is a huge upgrade to my previous vehicle which sadly has gone to the grand scrapheap in the sky.
R.I.P Renault scenic. We had some great times!
My new car has a CD player!
Nothing to get excited about I hear you say, not unless you are like myself with some old retro CD's that you haven't heard in years because you haven't had the facilities to play them.
So this is simply wonderful.

My old CD collection that I couldn't bear to part with gets to see a new lease of life.
The radio in my new car is pretty awesome too! I have just spent 30 mins presetting 18 stations!
What with that and my CD player I will never have to endure listening to radio adverts & banal waffling any more!

Do I burst your bubble as you are now not supposed to change a CD while you are in control of the vehicle it ok if it holds 5 CD etc but not to take them out of the case and change it.
But you could do a play list and burn a CD |

Nope. You haven't burst my bubble as my car has a single CD slot & not a CD changer.
I also have this nifty little wheel button on my steering wheel that I can simply press to change tracks or to change the CD to radio! This is technology that has already been FAR surpassed in cars for many years I know, but for me, this is a huge upgrade from my old car, & it delights me. |

I have just had my sunroof sealed shut, can never open it again. When its freezing I have to de-ice the inside of the windscreen when outside is ok  then put the heaters on and it snows inside my car...
... I dream of achieving the dizzy heights of a CD player. OP I am so chuffed for you, as I would be excited too.

OP - one of my has a tape deck & yes i still got a few cassettes, my cd's unfortunetly are a bit worse for wear and do that horrible skip thingy but then again they were used to death up until about 3/4 years ago & some I made when I was 18!! |

A vehicle I sometimes drive at work has a cassette player! I’ve gone on eBay and bought a load of cassettes I got rid of about twenty years ago. Everything is cyclical. |
