Can't believe that there are STILL irresponsible idiots out there conducting "in person meetings".
Question : Is Fabswingers being irresponsible too by not immediately banning people that meet in person and by not stopping those people from rejoining under a different name. I'm guessing that even if they use a different name their IP or whatever would be the same. |

They have turned off most of the parts associated with meeting. How can they know what all members are doing? You could meet someone from here without any evidence being on Fab so how would they know?
There's only so much they can do really |

Just report them to admin if you see they are advertising meets.
Admin will deal with it |

Its possible that meets are being arranged outside of Fab.
Probably using other apps such as whats app etc |

It is NOT fabs responsibility.
They have fulfilled their part in keeping people safe........
Got enough with a nanny state. Don't want a Fabby state.
People are responsible for what they do themselves. |

Short of closing the site until the pandemic has eased, what more can they do? All it takes to meet is willing participants and a method of communication. These exist beyond fab.
Fab is interested in protecting it's revenues and income, just like any other business. Banning customers isn't a way to do that.
We live in a free country, where people can make free decisions, and freely accept the consequences. It's about personal responsibility, |

Report.
Fab remove any status/thread/comments regarding meets right now and I assume they get a warning.
They have close the meets section of the site, meet verifications, clubs and club reviews.
What more do you want? No other aspect of our lives is policed anymore than that right now |

If you turn your router off your IP changes when it's turned back on. If you use VPN it will change too.
Report profiles asking to meet, let admin sort it. I'll say how in my next post then close the thread.

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.
******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).
Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.
Admin
PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.
Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:
--
Your feedback has been saved.
A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.
By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.****** |
