Death bed - powfu
As an aside, the ward my nan was on when she died was aptly named "the departure suite"
Little did we know how true it really was when we joked about the name as she was admitted. |

I (Luke) used to be a member of a hospital radio station.
I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight by The Cutting Crew was in the charts and we weren't allowed to play it when the kids requested it.
I remember one faux pas when a presenter was reading out the star signs and said "Here's what the future holds for you if we have any Cancers out there..."
There was another time when a presenter found on a record what was listed as "The theme from MASH". Being a fan of the show, he decided to play it, only to find it was a version with vocals and it's proper title is "Suicide Is Painless". Oops. |

I used to work on hospital radio with a friend and we often played inappropriate songs by mistake. We felt sure there's be complaints until one of us nipped into minor injuries to use the loo one day and they were listening to fucking touch fm! |

"Songs you shouldn't play at either
The jam.. going underground"
Paul Weller’s Dad actually had that at his funeral! Don’t think he’s the only one either. |

"Ivan Brackenbury (Aka Tom Binns) has an entire act based around this. He's been on 8 out of 10 cats a few times and is brilliant live. He's well worth googling "

There and to the left a bit |
Threads like this always remind me of the time I was at White Hart Lane in the 80s and they played Road To Hell by Chris Rea at half-time in memory of a fan killed in a motorbike accident - there was a collective gasp went round the ground when it started.
There were that many complaints that they had to print a piece in the next programme explaining the guys family were there that day and had specifically asked for that song as it was his favourite. |
