Can you self-identify as a BBW? Or is there a certain minimum size?

Often other people apply that label. We have had messages from men saying how much they admire BBW. Otherwise it's a self identify thing

It's a strange one, and I actually don't know the answer. I think I must be on the borderline, as I get called it a lot but I've also been told I'm too small to be considered BBW.

Anyone can identify as anything they want these days

For me a BBW is a size 18 or over.

I know and I’m aware I’m fat. This is not news to me.

I wouldn’t class myself as a BBW because I’m not conventionally attractive. So although I think I’m not bad looking, I’m no great beauty.

I’m just a big woman.

Perhaps it's like VWE in reverse. Men are very keen to apply that label to themselves but women seem less likely to claim BBW

If you feel you are a BBW you can say you are. Why not put it on your profile

Surely if you women got called BBW but didn’t think you was that must be horrible to hear? Not that any size matters you’re all beautiful

Check out the profiles with BBW in the name and the long running sequence of BBW threads. A lot of women are happy to identify as such.

Don't mind being referred to as one. Bigger women with bigger asses are more accepted these days.

Unfortunately it's a label that's often assigned to people without their prior consent (not cool lol), for me a BBW is anyone who identifies that way. I know I fit the BBW model as a hearty size 20 but I hate the term, doesn't stop the barrage of messages from singles saying how much they love a BBW. Swift block from me on that one usually.

Call a spade a spade, I have excess body fat, I'm hot, the two aren't mutually exclusive but I don't like to be fetishized for just existing

I identify as me - I have BBW in my profile because I don't want the hassle of people contacting me if large women aren't their thing.

It's not about being a fetish for someone but just being honest and saves time all around.

I am who I am - and I'm fine with that.

Mr KC loves me for all that I am - thats the only opinion i need to be concerned with

Fab seems to put me in that category, though I only fit in because I’m fat and a woman. I don’t like being fetishised though. I’m just me x

True. I guess I'm wondering if people use the BBW category in their username to reclaim it after it's been imposed on them.

I'm also wondering if I'm attracted to BBWs in the conventional sense; I like chubby girls (among others) with large, soft breasts that jiggle when getting fucked but I don't think that's a fetish as such

No, it might not be a fetish, just that oft used forum word of preference.

People can identify themselves as a butternut squash if they want to. It's their profile afterall.

It's sounds a bit taboo-ish. Almost as if you're drifting outside the norms i.e bbc, bbw, sbbw

I'm size 18.

I may be in denial, but I don't identify as bbw. I dont like being pigeon-holed. I don't like conforming to someone else's idea of body shape. Nor do I want to remain this size for good: lockdown weight has made me gain a dress size, but I'm not embracing tgat as a positive change.

I don't like the term personally because it fetishises size. I don't want to be a fetish. But if others are happy to use the term, that's excellent for them. It's the automatic assumption that a woman with a bit of chub are okay to be referred to as BBW.

I think it’s up to the individual to self identify as they wish .My late wife had massive fluctuations in weight and measurements over the years, especially during her final three years of life. Her dress size went up and down like a yo-yo fro 22 to 24. She was hot as hell the whole time no matter what size she was. Sometimes her bigger arse got excellent paddling when in full bloom and spankable/ punishable. Sometimes her tits were fatter or longer and better for severe rope bondage or a restrictive bra. Fleshy thighs that responded so nicely to very tight roping restrictionswere always a pleasure to play with.
