Shot in the dark and it can be shady, but if you're getting desperate then you could try Gumtree. Facebook marketplace is also somewhere people use to advertise places for rent.
Have you contacted the Citizens Advice Bureau? |

Done all of the above. Citizens advice can't help as I'm not facing homelessness, domestic violence etc. |

If domestic abuse is the issue you should speak to the local council or perhaps shelter the housing charity. Temporary accommodation maybe the solution to remove you and dependents from the source of immediate danger. |

I didn't know about this ruling. Hardly helps anyone though. The person involved was made homeless and legal action was taken afterwards with the help of a charity and compensation was won. Shit legal rule which doesn't assist anyone's immediate situation. |

I know this, sent the link to the landlord who refused me a tenancy based on my source of income, then he said "he was selling it" happy to wait until it sells but told me he'd not had income for a year cos of covid and I offered him 6 months rent up front. Just shows you what people think of people who use the welfare system. Even if I was working full time, I'd still be getting income from the state. Makes my piss fizz |
