Honestly to the key workers do you wish that you could have a little bit of time off like some people have had? Or are you someone that just loves working

Have managed to have this half term off and not work through it unlike some of the school holidays last year

My job over this past year has been upsetting, devastating and just so overwhelming sometimes that when I've got home I spend the evening in tears but I wouldn't have it any other way....someone has to be there x

Last year I was classed as essential. I mean, come on I've never been essential in my life. Now I'm a key worker???? Strange world.

I have enforced time off due to an injury on Friday. I am hoping to be back in again next week, in a less frontline capacity.

It been tough, but its felt worthwhile. Taking time off would have felt like I was shirking responsibility.

Why do we deserve extra time off? Work is something we do, the worlds a mess, I’d rather work together to rid this virus so we can all enjoy good company again.

I’ve considered myself luck to have been able to go out to work all the way through- apart from having the virus- it’s given both of us our space and a way of seeing other people ! X

There have been times where I would have loved some time off but in the main I’m super grateful for being kept busy and serving a purpose. Keeps the mind at bay.

No, i work for myself within a key area (not health service) i didnt want time off as i enjoy my job and it keeps my sanity.

My employees could have had the time off as they were well within their rights too however none of them did i have. Im very grateful for that as quite honestly id have gone under by now.

Some are working from home, some from site but im not bothered how they want to work as family comes before anything.

my team are small but are a family to me and treat them this way, and once this is over im treating them to a family holiday each abroad as they truly truly deserve it.

That's so true. One of us has always worked on the front line, the other got furloughed then made redundant before taking a job on the front line. We've both dodged a bullet with covid and stayed clear of it, not quite sure how given the idiots and complacency shown by our "customers" the furlough wasn't wasted though, a completely different looking home being result.

Truly feel bad for those that have lost people though.

I'm enjoying my half term break as we speak. It's going to be mayhem when we go back next week so may as well make the most of the break now while I can

I could quite happily occupy my time but as I am clearly essential to the planet, I'm working, albeit mostly from home..

It's actually kept me in a bit of a routine. I think I would be going crazy if I was furloughed with nothing to do or working from home.

If anything part of me feels guilty being able to go out when there is so many people who have had to stay at home, cut off from everyone.

I'm just me. I certainly don't do it for the money. I feel privileged and humbled that I can be there for someone at a time when no-one else can x

We’re just thankful to have relatively secure jobs and going to work means we’ve not felt as isolated as some people do.

Catching covid was a bit shit but I survived, thankfully. And it gave us some time off work - bonus!

I Harold want to go to work as a key worker but I'm not allowed as classed as shielding. Hopefully can go back next week.

I've really not enjoyed the time off and would rather be at work.

Madge has worked all the way through.

No I'm so glad I've worked through, I'm a very social person I like human interaction I genuinely think I'd be in the insane asylum if I'd been furlough, esspecially because without work there is nothing els to do, no friends, no food out no pubs... Work is my whole life lube atm lol. A poor lady threw herself off a bridge right outside where i work today its so sad but people really have become so lost in there heads due to lockdown and lack of socialising/ having people to talk to

anywhere and everywhere

I am grateful to be working, going out and living a normalish life.

After 24 years on the front line in green, last year was certainly a challenge, but it is what I signed up for so I am not complaining

Keep safe one and all

I wished I could have had time off at the start of covid when the weather was blazing but right now I'm just happy to have a stable job. I had to isolate for 2 weeks in december (precautionary, never caught it) and by the end of the first week I was bored shitless. I've always just worked, don't really know anything different

I'd like a little time off. Its been impossible to even book a few days off. I have almost an entire year of annual leave to use by end of March,or lose the entitlement

I'm just so grateful to still have a job. I've seen so many people be furloughed or laid off its untrue! Not good for the mental health.

Yes I'm more at risk but I love my job and glad to be there to help people during this scary time.
