I've been told on numerous occasions that my smile is my best feature and that really should have a photo on here of me smiling.
I looked through the ones I have, only to find that I look retarded on all of them. 
What is it about the camera that makes my allegedly warm smile disappear, only to be replaced by a gurn?  |

Jesus thats deep! Ok i have never really though about pictures like that. Best bet is to take hundreds or maybe thousands and delete the bad and keep the odd one thats good. We all do 95% crap ones or I do like you  |

Same here there is a trick though. What you do is get someone to take them and silently fart. Its a well known fact everyone grins a little in-between the fart being expelled and the other person smelling it. Think about it.....Im right don't you think.  |

Prefer a smile to some of the pics ive seen.
Some look sooooooooo f in miserable , then complain they dont get any interest ..hmmm wonder why   |

On a slight tangent to the op's question, why do so many of you girls insist on that silly pout thing with your finger in your mouth in pics? I much prefer a sexy smile to all that false sexiness.

i think your photo looks perfectly alright. you dont look cross and grumpy like some people do in their pictures.
i nearly always look serious in mine because i am camera shy. |

I love digital camera's and the delete function. I used to go and pick photo's up years ago when they had to be developed and more ended up ripped up and in the bin of me than anything else. Andy used to moan when he realised what I'd done!! My other trick is to make sure the camera is in my hands taken pics of other people. |

Get others to take photos of you, and it's likely that when you're relaxed and not thinking of the camera, that you'll show your warm friendly smile.
As others say, professionals take dozens of shots, and only ever use a fraction of what they've taken, and this holds true for us amateurs too.
Go about your natural life, get someone to just keep taking some shots over and over again, and you'll likely get a winning relaxed natural shot. |
