There's far more to love bombing than that Tom.
Starts out with showering of affection and attention which isn't limited to one day of the year.
It's the beginning of a long, twisted fucked up game. |

As usual you say “reports” but don’t give a source
Love bombing CAN be part of an abusive cycle, but it would more commonly follow a violent incident while the abuser is in the apologising and swearing it won’t happen again phase. It can also be a tactic to get someone into a relationship in the first place.
But it isn’t always negative or abusive, and it definitely isn’t new. |

This is a bit like the feed of that Facebook friend who is your mum's best mate's son and you can't ignore without questions being asked, but who watches way too many dubious youtube channels and Daily Mail clickbait gor blimey stories and then posts about them. |

You’re allowed to give links to recognised news sites, so I don’t know why you don’t just do that instead of making vague and often inflammatory statements without sources.
Is this the article you mean? https://news.sky.com/story/warning-over-valentines-day-love-bombing-as-charity-aims-to-help-teenagers-recognise-abuse-12217172
If so, it’s about Women’s Aid attempting to educate on the signs of domestic abuse to look out for, and not at all how you represented it in your first post. |

I think it definitely needs more open conversation and awareness.
People have a habit of naysaying towards narcissists saying it's unlikely you'll meet one, it's rare etc.
I don't believe it's rare at all, I simply believe victims haven't been coming forward and it's waaaaaay more prevalent than ever thought previously. |

I think Narcissistic Personality Disorder is much more common than people realise, just based on the number of people in my life who have enough traits to be diagnosable. But they don’t get diagnosed very often as they don’t accept that there’s a problem and therefore don’t seek a diagnosis. It’s left for those of us affected by them to put the pieces together for ourselves. And then there are those who display some traits, but maybe not to the threshold for diagnosis. |

Yep.
Get them used to all the attention and affection, then withdraw it as "punishment" for whatever they see fit.
Or in other words, step one of the how to gain control manual |

You do you tom, nobody has to read or comment on anything they dont like. If they know they dont like what you post, but continue to click on your threads anyway, that is on them |

You did call it "nonsense" in one of your posts here Tom, if someone has suffered this kind of abuse you can potentially see why they would be upset. |

Domestic abuse is a hard and emotional subject. As someone who has suffered at the hands of my ex, I'm glad you don't think love bombing is nonsense. Have a good evening Tom |
