My brother once asked my mother if she used to ride one of those bikes with a big wheel. He meant a penny farthing and was learning about the Victorians at school at the time (c.1995).

Our kids fell about laughing when we said at school they used to have a television on a stand on wheels, which they would bring into the classroom.

My sister in law thought the world was in black and white previously, she was 18.

Her older sister, when watching Titanic stormed out in protest when she walked in half way through the film and was told ‘it’s ok the ship hasn’t sunk yet’ she thought they had given away spoilers. She was 25 at the time.

I married the middle sister who has two masters degrees so you know who has the brains in their family
