What weird simple things do you find relaxing/calming.

For me the 'shipping forcast'

I dont have a boat im not interested in the sea.. but i listen to the bbc 'shipping forcast' daily and have done for years. I find it calming, why? Gid knows but i do.

What weird strange thing do you find relaxing? Maybe a comfort? Or calming?

I'm always reminded of the Peter Serafinowicz episode of Black Books when someone mentions the shipping forecast.

I find folding laundry relaxing and very grounding.

I have trouble sleeping so listen to ASMR videos, mainly back scratching, which send me off in no time

Definitely not. I don't even know how i got into it but its been helping me for months. What do you like listening to?

That could become really annoying! Do you follow people around narrating every little action? It would be like hanging around with a sports commentator

The only thing that relaxes me are my tablets.

I long for days of yore when I could rest on the sofa, or in the garden on a warm day, drinking tea, feeling rested and totally relaxed.

I've tried lots of things to relax me that didn't require swallowing something.

Japanese YouTube cooking videos. No talking, no annoying music, just the sounds of cooking... Or a YouTube lady called Choki, faffing about doing stuff round the house and her cats farting about too... Lovely, quiet, calm.

In the Summer I have a giant fan going, but I get so used to the hum I still have it going when it wasn’t even that hot, because I found comfort in the noise, so in the end I got a sound app to Replicate the sound of the fan. I have loads of fascinating stories like that.

Just after waking up after the normal bodily functions I really enjoy

Coffee (obvs) and flicking through my phone - not social media I'm not on any of that nonsense apart from this

I like to look at things from Amazon I clearly need, my Google news feed,

And general unimportant e mails.

In complete silence
