There's loads of posts about what shows and films to watch.
When I was younger, I'd watch a film a fair few times. Now I constantly search out new stuff to watch, even though I've been meaning to watch a lot of stuff again. Not like I haven't got the time at the minute either.
Do you rewatch older stuff or has on demand kind of spoilt you? Has any older stuff been disappointing when you did rewatch it? |

Older movies are great to rewatch. Newer movies is mostly about setting up the sequel and forgetting about the original story.
My goto movie is The good The bad The ugly. |

That's true. You know I've never watched it properly. I remember snippets of it from it being on where I was a kid but I've always been meaning to watch the dollars trilogy all together. |

Absolutely. Same goes for books.
And music. You see it with a new eye, appreciate more scenes.

Yes! I always see things in subsequent viewing that I missed the first time. There are a few I have watched back to back as I know I have missed something... |

I’m definitely quality not quantity. It seems odd to me that people will listen to a favourite record many times but not do likewise with films or books.
I must have read my favourite novel The Great Gatsby hundreds of times. Films and TV shows I’ve watched dozens of times includes The Godfather, Life is Beautiful, Seinfeld, The Wire to name just a few. |

Lost count how many times I seen it"
On of tge first movies that had more than major star. All vying for screen time, made for a great movie. |

Yeah I could watch top gun anytime.

It depends on the film, I've got my old favourites like Terminator, Predator, The Thing, Platoon, Apocalypse Now, Robocop, Shawshank Redemption, Stand By Me, Jacobs Ladder etc that I can watch anytime and still love, especially seen as the special effects haven't aged too badly unlike films from the late 90's and beyond where the CGI has aged terribly. I struggle with going back to old TV series though (talking about anything before 2000), they didn't have half the budget that they get nowadays and it shows.

There and to the left a bit |
Tend to watch older films more frequently than I do recent releases - maybe one of the reasons we re-watched more in years gone by is back then there really wasn't the choice there is now - cinemas only had four screens at most, there were only four channels on the TV etc
Whereas now everything is so disposable |
