You are having a dinner party at your house and you can invite 4 people past or present to dine. Who would you invite and why?

Also what would you be serving for desert?

I have been lucky in so far as work has allowed me to travel the world so lone dinners in various hotels my taint my view on lone dinning?

That said it has honed my people watching skills and watching couples sat opposite either not speaking for long periods of time is a cardinal sin. Even worse is when mobile phones are being used.......sacrilege!

No, for me dinner is about good food, fine wine and interesting even flirtatious conversation with an attractive woman!

Excellent suggestion.

I imagine Frank, Ali and Mae West swapping ever more outrageous stories, with Dorothy Parker dropping occasional cutting remarks while Shakespeare took copious notes.

Barry can kick do the entertainment while you and your husband dance and I show Marie Curie the cha cha cha and she whispers sweetly in my ear about her latest theories on radioactivity.

She was very clever, wrote all her own material, and was way ahead of her time. In the 20’s she wrote a successful Broadway play called ‘Sex’ which was closed as ‘obscene’. Move over, Madonna !
