I’d be in charge of the bird house.
It’s lovely and warm, you’ve got the sounds of birdsong all day and they are beautiful to look at.
I’d want a wide brimmed hat as PPE though in case of aerial bombardment. |

Definitely not the lions!
I am too much like Jim from Friday Night Dinner when he jumps with fear at his dogs (Wilson & Milson)
I would like the giraffes, they are beautiful, graceful, elegant animals.

Love the big cats and tigers, used to be a tour guide in the zoo teaching little kids classes and stuff about animals, I loved it. We had amur leopards, tigers and lynx and a few really unusual animals too. Love that you can teach them about the environment and conservation as well as all about the animals. Really love birds of prey too |

"Any of the great apes - chimps, orangutans, gorillas etc
Find them fascinating to watch, can relate to them as our closest genetic cousins and there's a level of interaction too"
True but I’m not too sure about mucking out. |

I want a raccoon
I love their little hands and cheeky faces
If you've never seen a raccoon eating grapes, you've never lived "
Haha they are rascals aren’t they. And don’t forget they save the galaxy. |

Pygmy Goats - cheeky, naughty little animals that will cheer me up and will give me some exercise chasing around after them.
And a Unicorn - people will pay a lot to come and see it. |

Hmm I wonder which one. The one we have in my native country usually lives in a mountain region. |

Mucking out applies to all animals though and I'd rather do chimp poop than elephants!! |

I’m not sure about that. But at least the chimps will throw it out. |

"I would let the all out, as I shouted "Run my beauties;run wild, run free!".
As they disappeared into the distance I would cup my hands to my mouth and scream "Don't eat anyone!!""
I think the fish are going to struggle with that |

"But they're in prison
I’m with you, I’d work in a safari park though
Maybe with the giraffe
Oh they are great aren’t they. A little necky but I like them. "
When I was in France on holiday many years ago we took our young daughter to the zoo in Palmyre. As we approached the giraffe enclosure one of them by the fence reached over and took a baguette out of a picnic basket that a French Dad was holding. It then disappeared, munching as it went. It was such a slapstick moment that the crowd started clapping and laughing and the poor Dad stood there not knowing what to do. |

I worked for a summer looking after birds in a small zoo. Took ages in the morning chopping up their fruit and the others would eat minging blocks of fish. They were also very indifferent to their keepers.
I would probably look after something a little friendlier. The wallaby’s were fun. |

Pandas are my favourites or big cats...
or capabya just because they are like big guinea pigs.
Or the donkeys and goats because Sir is mean and won't let me have either.
Fluff it, I'd be happy with most animals just not insects or reptiles with exception being Tortoises |

I'd look after the bats. Sure, they're a bit stinky and they do that flappy flappy shit that lots of people seem to dislike, but there's nothing quite so cute as a fruit bat eating some banana |

I had an extraordinary experience day and got to feed lots of different animals and have a private tour, big cats are a favourite.. weird fact tiger's don't smell of anything! Lions smell like cat pee and ferrets with a horrific oily smell. Lol Also..
Rhinos are basically giant cow puppies and like their butts scratched |

Love to look after either the large cats (lions, tigers) or gorillas! Think of I could do it all over again, I’d have become a vet, that said, I’d find the euthanasia part to difficult to handle.
So maybe a zoo keeper should have been the choice? Knowing my luck, I’d have been stuck shoveling pig sh**!
