Women and couples not stating TV/TS
Jump to: Newest in thread
So I get contacted by some women and couples who are looking to meet or chat with TV/TS's but who don't have this interest anywhere on their profiles.
While they are also what I'm looking for, are there any a reasons that they/you often don't have it on their profiles as I always make sure I look for it on any profile I look at and if it's not there then I won't try to message them. All of us could be missing out on some fun times because of a few words on a profile.
Now I understand that there may be a particular thing or type they are looking for and that people like me are massively varied in both their appearance and what we are looking looking too but it almost feels like there is a stigma involved in liking crossdressers and trans people.
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. |

I think some people are still embarrassed/ashamed to admit their preferences publicly sometimes for fear of judgement from others.
We made a point of trying to make ourselves clear on the subject.
We are open to all genders/identities. Attraction and chemistry are what we look for.

Honestly Sophie, I never even thought about it. My profile says looking for men, but I get contacted by men, women, couples, TV/TS.... and if the attraction for whatever, be it conversation or more, is there, I'm chatty.
I think Lu is probably right.... |

Honestly, it's because if we did we tend to get very very explicit messages. Now I'm not saying that's all do, I know you don't OP. But crumbs some of the messages even raise my eyebrows and as you know that's no mean feat |

For me personally it boils down to who I want to meet for sex. I'm happy to chat to anyone I get on with, and I'll meet those I'm friendly with for a social.
But I only list men, women and couples on my profile as I'm not looking to meet tv/ts people for sex.

I know it sounds wank, but I think for the most part it's because they don't want to be judged.
In some cases they could already have good friendships and sexy times with others who are quite vocal about their dislike of "weirdos" and how they wouldn't go near anyone that does "go there"
So, instead of standing up to said friends and putting values before sexy time they keep quiet and indulge in secret.
A bit like a cheat who "loves their spouse" but won't speak up about what they really want as far as sex goes or fess up to what they're doing. They say it's coz they don't wanna hurt her other person, but 95% of the time it's coz they're afraid of getting rejected. It shows me they value deception and selfishness more than they value their friends/relationships. If they did value them properly they'd allow the other people freedom of choice. |

And these are the ones who often have a true but hidden liking for tv/ts's but for me I'll ignore more often than not depending on the message. |

Tell me about it, I'm far from shy or green but some have made me wince or want to puke to be quite Frank and you know me, there isn't much I'm not into or curious about. It's the manner in which it is said too and I do sometimes find myself blocking TV/TS for this reason.

Yep, I totally get that Lola as we have spoken and it's clear what you do and don't like sexually but will speak to anyone where there is a connection. The question is aimed more at those who will approach for sex etc but won't state on their profiles that they're OK with TV/TS's. |

This is more along my lines of thinking Peach, I am just curious to see what other reasons folk can have as it's good to get other perspectives too.
Personally I rather like the ones who aren't afraid to say their friends are weirdo's |

"just mostly people that are embarrassed or not wanting to damage their chances of other meets in the pool of users ..."
I understand this reason but happy to find on here that a lot really don't give a damn and those people I do like for their way of thinking.
I find it hilarious though as I'm ignored far more as a man on here than as a crossdresser. |

"I have notice both TVs here have blocked males? "
Because I am not looking to meet males but am happy to chat with guys through the forums.
What I am getting at is those who clearly do like TV/TS but won't have it on their profile, it's a different scenario. |

I have noticed this quite a lot recently especially with guys messaging and only having women on there profile, the way I see it is if I get a message from a profile and it doesn't say want to meet tgirls I actually take it as a compliment they see me as a female as that's what I like to present myself as, yeah there is a stigma and some don't want to admit to who they like but come on people it's 2021 times have changed we are all humans playing this game called life. |

The majority of TV's are men. People often don't have 'men'on their profile Looking For list because it puts them on Men searches and makes the amount of incoming messages ridiculous. Hence why many won't have TV/TS (or men) on their looking for list.

I think we both dare and probably do quite nicely within those preferences too. It would be nice to be able to publicly see those for who we are their preference....one day that may well happen and nobody will bat an eyelid and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that. |

After adding looking for TV/TS to my profile as you know from one of your previous threads, I've been quite surprised by the messages. I've had very few crass messages at all. I didn't have it on mine originally and I think I did feel that I'd get a lot more crass messages from TV/TS.
I do think there's a stigma where people think others will be judgy about it and people worry what others might think.
The only thing I have noticed is that many of TV/TS that have messaged were more keen on suggesting themselves as their male self than the TV self, which isn't quite what I expected. |

Huge turn off for me. I was married and in a 20 year relationship. 2 kids.house. own business etc. Until my ex started drinking excessively, became grumpy, started being aggresive and violent, then came out as a crossdresser. This began to take over his life along with excessive alcohol consumption and he lost all interest in participating in any form of family life. His dressing was the only thing that mattered to him. He wouldn't listen to my concerns and the violence increased, it was a toxic unbearable environment to live in for me and my children and eventually I plucked up the courage to leave. I was homeless with 2 young children during the first lockdown as he refused to leave our house and still to this day refuses to let me in to even get my belongings. Hes recently come out as transgender and has no regard for how this has an effect on me or the children. Luckily I met and now live with an amazing man who has welcomed me and my children and we are moving on with our lives
So for me its a very sore subject |

Nope, part of the attraction to TVs for me is the effort and care involved in getting ready rather than just whacking a pair of undies on. |

Before joining here I had no interest in meeting TV/TS's. I didn't know of any and had no interactions with TV/TS's.
Since joining though I have found that I am attracted to some...enough that I'd like to get to know them better.
My wants don't have TV/TS's listed because at the time of joining I didn't know this about myself.
Thinking about it maybe it's time to update my profile. |

This would maybe answer Sophie’s question then as to why many don’t have it on their profile. Not because they don’t have an attraction to TV’s but to prevent the gents with a knicker fetish which is a very different thing altogether.
I’m all for everyone doing what makes them happy perhaps it’s just another form of filtering as the TV ‘category’ for want of a better word is so wide ranging? |

Forgot to add that my issue isn't his dressing per sè...more the fact I've wasted20 years of my life being his cover story as he admitted doing this 7 years before we met. If he had been honest from the beginning it would have saved a lit of heartache |

Honestly, I don't object to anyone with a knicker fetish, rock on I say.... and I've found a man in knickers (NOT panties I hasten to add) sexy on more than one occasion. It's the idea of "if it'll give me a chance" that pisses me off.
Because if I'm going to "give anyone a chance" it'll be because of them themselves, not because they are shoehorning themselves into the box they think I want them in.
But that's just me |

This would maybe answer Sophie’s question then as to why many don’t have it on their profile. Not because they don’t have an attraction to TV’s but to prevent the gents with a knicker fetish which is a very different thing altogether.
I’m all for everyone doing what makes them happy perhaps it’s just another form of filtering as the TV ‘category’ for want of a better word is so wide ranging?
Honestly, I don't object to anyone with a knicker fetish, rock on I say.... and I've found a man in knickers (NOT panties I hasten to add) sexy on more than one occasion. It's the idea of "if it'll give me a chance" that pisses me off.
Because if I'm going to "give anyone a chance" it'll be because of them themselves, not because they are shoehorning themselves into the box they think I want them in.
But that's just me
Fair point "

"Huge turn off for me.
So for me its a very sore subject
Forgot to add that my issue isn't his dressing per sè...more the fact I've wasted20 years of my life being his cover story as he admitted doing this 7 years before we met. If he had been honest from the beginning it would have saved a lit of heartache"
I think we can all completely understand why you feel this way. Trauma isn't it. I personally can't meet people with the same name as my ex because of the trauma associated. There's no shame in it.
I don't want to sound dismissive as I feel for ya hugely, but the thread was asking why people hide that they're looking for TVs rather than why don't they want to meet them. You're hiding nothing and I commend you for it. X |

This thread has been an eye-opener and I completely understand now why some of you ladies don't put meeting tvs on your profile if they're the sort of messages you get, have received messages of a similar ilk myself but that's another story for another time, more power to you for appreciating the effort some of us go to as much as we appreciate the effort you put in too |

I sometimes add to my profile that I am looking for TVs but after a very short period of time I need to remove it as I get inundated with messages and I have decided that its best for me to search for TVs myself.

"So I get contacted by some women and couples who are looking to meet or chat with TV/TS's but who don't have this interest anywhere on their profiles.
Probably got a tv profile to get round the Men filters. |

This is a whole different subject and one where I can see both sides. It's very sad that anyone who dresses has ever felt the need to hide it and lie in this way but I see their reasoning and I do very much see yours too. Openness was needed from the outset and I'm sorry you have ended up in the position you have, thankfully it doesnt always work out like that and as you can see with me and others, we are now able to be open about it from the outset so you would know what you could potentially be getting yourself into. |

I was 17 at the time so I'd have probably respected his honesty and cut my losses and parted ways. But I feel conned of 20 years of my life and now have 2 young children from a now broken home. The eldest of which I fear is going to be bullied as a direct result of the whole situation. I dont feel hes been fair or respectful through out the whole situation |

Whacking on a pair of undies for me is a very different thing, a fetish if you will. Crossdressing for me is a part of me and not a fetish, I'm only relatively settled with where I am after spending most of my life not knowing if I was trans and wondering if transition should be the route I go down.
Each to their own and all that and enjoy what you do but a pair of knickers is a very different thing from TV/TS as you well know

"Before joining here I had no interest in meeting TV/TS's. I didn't know of any and had no interactions with TV/TS's.
Since joining though I have found that I am attracted to some...enough that I'd like to get to know them better.
My wants don't have TV/TS's listed because at the time of joining I didn't know this about myself.
Thinking about it maybe it's time to update my profile."

Yeah I was probably just assuming that men can think for themselves....
Like when they make couples profiles to get round filters. |

I still think there’s a lot of Ignorance around the subject of men crossdressing. Not just wearing women’s knickers but going the whole way with wigs, shaving of body hair and makeup, truly feminising oneself.
It is a compulsion in my and a lot of TV’s I’ve met, something we need to express and cannot turn on or off.
Each TV has to make a decision about whether to be honest with a partner or hide it away as a ‘dirty secret’. I have always been honest and due to that, all of my previous relationships with women have never ended due to the dressing, they came to an end for other reasons.
I suppose in my case thanks to those women and the way they reacted, makes it easier to tell future partners. However they got to know the ‘guy’ before the TV. It meant they never saw someone acting feminine whilst dressed as a man only when I got changed and became my alter ego.
I suppose the point I’m trying to make is for this TV the dressing is only part of who I am, not the whole self. I’m an ex soldier, biker, runner, father and at times a crossdresser (like Sophie maybe 5% of my own time) all of these are what makes me the man I am and not the dress I wear on occasion.

I think it is probably down to two main reasons:
1, concern of the views of others - will people assume that Mr is bi, because they are meeting TG.
2, there is a wide variety in TG on here and it's probably easier to contact those whom they fancy than to say no to others. |

I guess for many people it’s once again a case of not being comfortable stating a preference for everyone to see - like men saying they’re straight then wanting to meet other men.
Personally I have always been attracted to feminine, pretty TVs, and I’m not ashamed to say that on my profile. So far I haven’t met any from Fab, for a few reasons (as well as the obvious pandemic!): 1) unfortunately many who’ve selected TV/TS as their gender are basically unshaven men in tights and sadly, their attitude and approach is the same as that of a lot of men; 2) most of the ladies I fancy are too far away; 3) most of the TVs who approach me expect me to take a dominant role, and I don’t have it in me to do that. Being addressed as Mistress in a first message puts me off.
Actually, I’ve just remembered I didn’t select TV/TS in the “looking for” on my couple profile - that’s because I’ve only had a brief discussion with my FWB about meeting TVs, so I wanted to talk about it properly before selecting it. I haven’t had that discussion just because we set the profile up during lockdown and it’s more or less dormant at the moment, so worrying about the finer points of preferences seems unnecessary right now. |
