Someone just messaged me calling me mature. Either he forgot to edit his copy and paste template or it's time to get the reading glasses and Werther's out...

I always assumed mature came from the behaviour of a person ability to act like a adult which does have a recommended age but as a preference

Yh but on a swinging/hookup site it usually is a polite way of saying "older". Which obviously there's nothing wrong with, but I don't think 26 is all that old yet!

To be fair

Unless you have spoken face to face by other means not text you wouldn't no any differently but wording can sound rude using older but mature is a behaviour, actions mature wine tastes better by age
