I prefer winks to unsolicited messages and it says on my profile ... I check out their profile and occasionally wink back if I'd like to chat with them. Have worked for me for years ... same if I like a profile I'll wink at them first to indicate a desire to chat.

Sometimes I do just generally wink as it is easier to know if there could be interest before a message some may call it lazy though |

I take notice of winks but I never know if I should wink back so they can message me first or whether I should take that as enough of a sign of interest to message them |

Yes we take notice of all of our winks, we like to leave a wink with someone so they can check out our profile and see if we tickle their fancy and if we do, they can either wink back or send a message.
I always read peoples profiles before winking though as not everyone uses them and will happily send a message first if that's the case |

Either way works for me ... a wink just means an interest in chatting with the other person. If they wink back I'll message them, if they wink first I'll wink them back to indicate an interest.
So many ladies find the amount of messages or the caliber of messages they get difficult but don't use the winks to alleviate this problem? Never understood it really ... |

We check winks and wink back if we like the look of them.
We often wink people and show our interest that way, if they wink back we’ll send a message then.
It’s a little opener...shows you are interested.

"I don't even think about looking at them.
Maybe I should check them more often.
And, I never send them...maybe I should.
It's a tool I very rarely use."
Send a few out see how it goes |

Definitely an underused and underappreciated tool put there to use ... saves all the messaging dilemmas so many people have |

It would be great to have some winks. I have only ever had 2, 1 from a woman, 1 from a couple, having said that I did not notice for 6 weeks...I must pay attention more |

I think they get a bad rap for being lazy. Maybe they think that even the worst messages have more effort than a wink? |

They seemed to be ignored by most people but the idea of them are good. A nice way to let someone know you're interested.
However if there are loads of mails constantly clogging up your inbox the last thing you'll spend your time doing is tracking down winkers |
