The ps3 was revolutionary. The US military still buy them second hand to daisy chain a makeshift supercomputer.
Which you think is best is purely subjective. Best for what? The numbers say the PlayStation is the worlds favourite. Best for playing halo - definitely Xbox. Best for playing last of us, easily the ps |

The PS3's cell architecture was incredible hardware that has been used as a more cost-effective alternative to conventional supercomputers, the U.S. military purchased clusters of PS3 units for research purposes (Although retail PS3 Slim units cannot be used for supercomputing, because PS3 Slim lacks the ability to boot into a third-party OS.)
In December 2008, a group of hackers used a cluster of 200 PlayStation 3 computers to crack SSL authentication and in November 2010 the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) created a powerful supercomputer by connecting together 1,760 Sony PS3s called the Condor Cluster. At completion this was the 33rd most powerful supercomputer in the world.
Shit the PS3 was not.
