I was thinking of putting off making it until the snow melted, because I'll be dropping most of it off to family.

I haven't checked up in the baking department of my cupboard yet but I know I have orange essence, vanilla essence, almond essence; Chocolate orange pieces and a Chocolate Orange; almond flour, ground almonds; maraschino cherries and possibly some dried fruit. I'd have to go shop for more dried fruit and rum. Then I'd have to drink the leftover rum.

I'm looking at the boxes now and thinking I'll probably feel more of a sense of achievement after getting them recycled.

I have until tomorrow evening to do them but I'm sick of looking at them.

I haven't made a cake for over a year though.

To extend your cake making by one more day from over a year is perhaps 1/400th, that’s 0.25%

That’s a very small increase

I was sensible and spent the afternoon ripping up boxes. I was too tired afterwards to bake.

I might make it today.

It will be a Chocolate Orange cake with chocolate orange buttercream, decorated with Terry's Chocolate Orange slices.
