Beautifully played, wasn't it? Basil was an astonishing man, we read up on his self-education.

On our list. So far all the word of mouth has been very positive so definitely going to have a watch sometime next next. Excellent cast from the trailer and a remarkable story too.

Brilliant wee movie, and I’d recommend The Dectorists to anyone who enjoyed it.

Worcester

It’s a lovely movie, it’s up there with The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society as one of our favourites.

I wasn’t going to bother with this, as I really don’t like football (yes, I said it ), but I enjoyed The Dig, maybe I should give it a go...

A it's worth a go actually because I really enjoyed it and I have little interest in football it's by Julian fellowes who wrote Downton.

We watched it last week, and I've since read up on Basil Brown. What an incredible man!

It's so well made and I do like a touch of history.

I read, and it's to be expected, that there were dramatised inaccuracies. Edith Pretty was older than Basil Brown. Whether her request that his contribution be recognised by the establishment was true or not, the final message that it wasn't was expected.

Really enjoyable and touching drama.
