OMG! I figured this would be the most exciting of the opening weekend but if Ireland beat Wales with just 14 men, I fancy them to win the tournament.

Not what I’d hoped for.
Very dissatisfied with Wales in particular.
They need a good rucking session.
Loads of talent... fucked off every other ruck when in possession.

Hogg made up for that with some excellent kicking yesterday ... all is forgiven

Agree with that: Wales nearly managing to pull defeat from the jaws of victory, despite being a man up for 65mins.
Ireland looked solid.
Wales underperformed. |

Not impressed with the changes he’s made either.

Congratulations to the Welsh players, and Wales. But as a Scots supporter I have to say: "Dammit Zammit".

Entertaining game once the kick tennis died down a bit.
I really don’t understand why the french changed their tactics for that game but then again... they won.
Maybe it’d been much easier if they’d played like they usually do, or maybe not.
Onwards to the grand slam!

Silly mistakes cost England... jumping across the line in the line outs... blocking runners from kicks, which is one of my biggest bugbears
I think the ref had a stormer to be honest..... not normally the biggest fan of french refs but this one was good
Also... Toby is my lions starting 8.... you have to believe AWJ and Itoje will be the 2nd row..... I think the 2 welsh wingers are in good starting XV shape.... and north at 13....
Watson and Farrell are the only English backs i would take to be honest....

Goes back to all the sarries boys not playing....
For as much as you would like to complain about the refs... England didn’t keep their heads on a swivel regarding the first, and the TMO gave the decision on the 2nd.... they were still 24-24 with 20 minutes to go!!
One win against Italy doesn’t cover up the fact that a lot of this team have basically not play any rugby in 4 months! It showed.... |

Personal opinion: I’d like to see the bottom team in the Six Nations have a play-off with the top European team in the next tier Rugby Europe International Championships (Georgia, currently), with the winner having a 6N place and the loser dropping down for the next season. |

It was an "interesting" game. I'm gutted by how poor England have been for the last 6 months or so, but Wales were the deserved winners.

What a really enjoyable game, it would have been nice if the BBC have a bit more evenness in the pre match, half time and post match discussions. 3 against one doesn’t play to the BBC being British - we only really got to hear the English perspective! |

The silly mistakes costing England I completely agree Fabio, they all know better than that, especially at such a high level game with cameras seeing everything.
Is Farrell the only English player who can kick a ball? Why did he attempt that long range kick? Would have been better to play it and get some flow going, as when they did, England looked good.
If you disallow that outrageous first try, and add the 9 points Farrell missed, I made it a 33-all draw

They looked much more fluid than we did when they put phases together and at 24-24 I thought we might be up against it.
The thing for me is that England still don’t have a plan B and Farrell isn’t a leader when things go badly. If his forwards give him an armchair ride, he runs things well.
Anyway onwards to Italy. Sheedy to start at 10 but no major changes and then Paris for a Grand Slam game - fingers crossed |

Sheedy to start at 10 but no major changes and then Paris for a Grand Slam game - fingers crossed
Sticking with players like Billy who don't play any club rugby is destroying them "
Definitely - when Sam Simmonds is scoring tries for fun |

Pleased with our performance, although we took out foot off the gas tblhe last quarter
Tough one to call this
On form I'd go France
But England are desperate for a win
I wouldn't like to call it |

Definitely happy with today. And I’d happily give the man of the match a FAB reward |

Wow! Talk about scra ping victory from the jaws of defeat.
I did think they played better this week but still predicted they would lose. |

Clear grounding in the first split second he crossed the line
Brace missed it as by time he came round it looked like Teddy held it up
Good call by Neville |

Did make me laugh when the first look on the camera the female tmo said “ooof... that’s close!” ...lol
Whichever way the ref gave that on the field I think you could have stayed with that decision and neither side would have complained |

I thought it was a great game, a huge improvement in England's play, especially their discipline. The French played really well too, and won't feel they've done much wrong.
Personally I think it was the best game of the tournament so far.

The first thing she said was “go with the on field decision” which I thought was the right call... that was too close to reverse the call for me |

Scott Steele for Ali Price and Hogg moves from 15 to 10 in place of Russel .... hmmmm
Not convinced with Maitland at 15 ... he’s not that great under the high ball ... so I expect Italy to keep testing that all day and picking up the fall out |
