Looking likely that we will have a prolonged cold spell (4 or 5 days). Temperatures will be low enough that anything that falls from the sky will fall as snow.

The stuff in Kent and Essex is leftovers from storm D'Arcy. The real cold will start to build from now as the winds are now coming from the east.
