Sky news reporting that a holy man refused to clap for Captain Tom because it celebrates White Nationalism..

I just thought his efforts to help everyone during a pandamic were enviable of somebody 80 years his junior...

Sounds more like a jerk with a chip on his shoulder than a "holy man"

There have been a few people saying similar on social media I just put it down to haters who can't accept some people think of others unlike themselves.

It would of helped him a lot more if he'd actually explained what a "cult of white nationalism" is and how it was applicable in this instance.

As it stands it sounds like a piece of attention seeking.

Could this be yet another attempt of a news source trying to divide the country with more hate filled lies?

"C'mon Dave, let's wind the morons up and have a giggle, got yer camera ready?"

"Since when has 1 person saying something controversial become news?"

Since it's become a national sport and pastime to be outraged and to vent your frustrations online usually by way of demanding the accused head on a plate. Or in this case calls for the clergyman to be sacked.

The news source didn’t speak the bile that the reverend preached. They just reported it.

That one person is a reverend preaching to his flock.

I'm sure white nationalists think he's amazing, for once I'm in agreement with them. Won't be saying that very often.

Seriously tho. 24 hour news don't half have to scrape some 'long overdue for burning' barrels.

I'm just interested how the OP reference to a "holy man" has become "reverend" or "clergy". There's many other varieties of holy men. And women

Of all the genuine and useful things on this planet and they chose some nasty ramblings of a fuckwit and they did it to stir up the masses and make profit.

Nothing more.
