When you are already in a minority group that is sidelined for something harmless to anyone else, being told that what you do makes you look ridiculous can have a huge effect on that persons wellbeing so as much as we will agree to disagree here, a more thoughtfully worded response in future would be better.

With regards to men and not TVs in knickers, it also does nothing for me either and as you say, not everyone will like everything but to voice every part of your opinion just because you have one is often unnecessary and causes hurt.
I am sure that I could find things about you both that I could call ridiculous but that is something I would never do, I could say it's not for me or that I dont understand it but I wouldnt call it ridiculous or any other derogatory term.
