So for probably the 5 millionth time here's another "I need photo ideas" thread.

Except I don't. I'm curious to what MAKES a good photo.

The outside, the indoors, the scenery, the editing, the people in the pic.

Whats the interpretation of a good pic.

For me it's the B&W shots, the deep shadows on the edges that highlight the muscle tone to the people in the pic. Very visual clarity of definition.

It varies,

And depends on how important artistry is on a pic of tits or a cock

I like be and darker images but thats just mybpersinal choice.

I think alot of pics are taken from unflattering angles. I like to Google images and try to copy pro shots sometimes

It all depends I like a variety of different kinds of photos on a profile. What I've noticed personally is for all the liking of B&W on the forum, if I put near identical pictures up one in colour and another in B&W it's always the colour ones that are most popular.

The outer edge fading is also a popular choice in my eyes, subtle haze from the scenery that doesn't remove the background but serves to slowly give the illusion of growing HD clarity to the central focal point.

Shots that show creativity and imagination

Graceful lines, erotic images that make you think.

Most importantly for me though, ones that are in focus!

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon

I like a variety of different things about pictures.

Highlights and shadows giving depth and definition is certainly appealing, a spark of light on a shiny element... metal, glass... adds interest.

I like photos that make my mind work. A picture that says "he's waiting for me", or one that makes me want to touch or be touched by him. Or her, or them. Use of colour, b&w, lighting, all add to the effect and intrigue but for me it is a combination of those things and what the subject of the picture is doing.

There and to the left a bit

I can appreciate all different kinds of pics whether blatant and in your face or subtle and teasing - the one common factor though is it's obvious some thought and creativity has gone into them and it's not just an "oh I'll just whip the camera out and snap away" type thing

Almost all (if not all) of mine are neutral plain background, purely because it's difficult to pick out a suitable background and very often it's a difficult to get tne things in shot with just 1 person.

Is a plain background old news, are people wanting creativity in the backdrop, i can appreciate both angles, tne creativity of a background and the plain drop to highlight the foreground image

Pics that create a story, makes your mind wander. Erotic, sultry and gives you that oomph feel

Something with thought behind it so you can see the effort they’ve gone to to create intrigue.

Both ways work, for different types of picture, depending on what you're trying to achieve with the photo I think.

Natural sunlight makes a big difference I think.

I personally can't stand selfies. I think it looks much better when somebody takes a photograph they don't try to be in and they can concentrate on framing it without the restriction of arm length. I also think it looks much better without seeing an arm stretched out like that. It's not how anybody would pose, so why would somebody want it in a photo? Luke

Sunlight is always a winner, try not to take photos at night. Most of the pictures of me are taken by myself, reasoning being if I've dressed up to take a photo and M is taking it, it won't get taken and we'll be predisposed. A tripod is a handy bit of kit

Checked your pics out, the magic to them is some of those look like proffesionl quality drawings, absolutely fantastic effects, that's the kind of thing I'm talking about.

Does that kind of effect make a good photo??

As far as I'm concerned yes! It absolutely does.

The complete removal of background for a flat dark surface to highlight the clarity of the images on the foreground.

Brilliant!!

I want to know what someone looks like, to the extent that I can decide whether I find them attractive, or not. That should be the goal of a good photo here, to generate a decision by the viewer of whether you are a possibility as a match. Too much uncertainty and people give up and move on to the other people who messaged them.

I want it only to contain the people that I am in discussion with.

It should be brightly lit, in crystal clear focus and not give the impression that anything may have been omitted or distorted etc, such that I only get an accurate representation of those who may have physical intimacy with me.

I want full physical representation, though this doesn't have to mean full nudity. Clothes worn can represent how you may appear on a meeting. If they distort your physical appearance, they have weakened your case for letting me understand your physique and appearance. Any doubts or confusion are a lost cause. I'll move on.

I prefer a balance of shots, giving a good all around perspective of you. You don't need to have an extensive gallery upon what you may view as your strongest feature, it weakens the overall impression of you, not vice versa. Less is more. Give enough.

Remove or reduce anything that is not you from the pic. Anything else is a distraction and weakens the impression of you.

Smile on some or all of the facial shots - smiles draw me in to you.

Ensure your pics are relevant - if you have changed significantly, update them. Review their contents frequently - remove anything that distracts from you, including, including photo effects. If you could only have bad lighting on earlier shots, replace them with pics with the highest level of clarity.

But what you don’t like others might, don’t like my ass or love handles much but others have said they like my butt and wobbly bits! It’s tough I agree but posting more of me has helped accept that I’m not an Adonis buts that’s ok as some people don’t want that

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, that same logic applies to photos. Some people like an everything out, no regard for setting, composition or even focus. Personally, I think less is more, I take carefully considered photos that are not just snapped at any old angle with a double chin/up nose shot and my pet hate of pants on the floor/general crap in the background.

I also really hate men taking photos of their cocks pointing into the toilet or while sat on the toilet.

And please, no photos taken in your kids' bedroom with their personal things in shot or photos with family portraits on the background. So rude and inconsiderate.

Yes, sometimes we’ll remove the background or blur it out so the image is all you’ll see and what we want you to focus on.

C works her magic on editing...but we only ever edit the surroundings, never us. What you see, is what you get...we never alter ourselves as we want to look like we will in real life unless we’ve blurred our faces...we haven’t got blurred faces

I think tasteful shots and teasing poses are the best. Show off your best angles and leave the viewer want more. This could be in a carefully done pose, or using objects to your advantage.

In terms of objects, it would be cool if they were hobby-related so that people get to visualise what you like.

Filters are pretty good too and only recently started using them for mine but don't like them too overdone

Good lighting improves the quality, try different angles and different locations. A messy background can ruin a good photo.

Show your personality off
