I like to have a little light reading before I go to sleep of an evening. I have over the Christmas period read Rob Halford's autobiography Confess and yesterday I finished John Cooper Clarkes autobiography which I found a bit hard work to get to grips with. Now I am about to pick up a John Grisham book I got from the supermarket as he is pretty easy going.
But I am just wondering what books you like to read and do you have any recommendations? |

Edinburgh |
Last Train to Memphis by Peter Guralnick. I'm not much of an Elvis fan, but the book was discussed on a podcast I listened to a while ago so I thought I'd give it a whirl. So far it's a very well put together book. |

Thank you for your input everyone I'll have to have a look around for something new as I have read a couple of John Grisham books as they are so light reading. And I need to find something new soon.. |

There and to the left a bit |
"Still on Cilka's Journey the follow up to Tattoist Of Auschwitz and very good it is too
Oh is there a follow up! I didn’t know "
Yes, tells the story of Cilka (who was in Tattoist) from the perspective of what happened to her after liberation from Auschwitz with some flashbacks thrown in.
Is a work of faction in that a story has been created around available information about her but a lot of it is the author's imagination of what happened based on that information. |

"Reading 2 books on parallel - Homo deus (Sequel of Sapiens) and Gut (fascinating story of our interiors)"
There was an amazing Radio series in the gut a couple of years ago. I remember Fecal transplants (hope no one's eating) and being astonished by how much more dna is the micribes in our gut than we have. |

Newry Down |
I never read books; I used to spend a lot of time studying academic articles on a very wide range of subjects, in order to educate myself; before the university's facilities were closed and the reopened restrictively.
I believe the so-called education I received at school was inadequate and geared to the lowest common denominator.
Books do not appeal to me. |
