I know he was 100 but it's still sad to hear of his death from Covid

Shangri-La

The amount of money that 1 man made for charity is just amazing, and the way the country seemed to just rally round him was amazing.

Important to make the distinction that he had been battling and ultimately passed away from pneumonia but had tested positive shortly before passing away.

He wasn't able to have the vaccine because of the medication he was taking for his pneumonia.

Sad that his time had come though, he was a great man.

"I know he was 100 but it's still sad to hear of his death from Covid"

His family clearly stated he did not die because he had Covid.

He had terminal prostate cancer and was suffering from pneumonia for many weeks.

Do understand peoples emotional engagement re this but I cannot help feeling sorry for the many, many people who have died very untimely deaths through this time and whose passing has gone largely unnoticed. Lives that were tragically ended far too soon and who may well have given much and made a difference in their own way without the media hype.
