Im unclear of the proper decinition of a one night stand.

Is it the first and only time you sleep with someone...then never sleep with them again and or never see them again?

Or is it sleep with stranger and never see them again?

To me it’s sleeping with someone just once , whether I knew them prior to the event or not and not repeated even if we’re acquaintances/friends .
