A massive bundle of newspapers that were obviously left over from Saturday and put out for someone to collect first thing Sunday morning.
They weighed a tonne and the next morning when I woke up at my pals house we realised they were full of those free lotto number tickets that the red top papers used to give away when the lottery was quite newish.
We spent hours scratching off and checking the numbers of thousands of tickets.
Not a single win.
Not even three numbers matched.
That was when I had my first suspicions about the lottery draw and its genuineness. |
