Good and wise advice, and I absolutely agree. One of my subs even managed to get a full size plug with a wide 1 1/4" flange completely up, much to my surprise. In my experience it's usually possible to retrieve them by a combination of the sub squatting and "bearing down" (trying to poo) and the master hooking it out with a finger. Can be messy though!
If there is any doubt at all, I'd recommend tying a strong thin twine round the base, which can be used to retrieve it if the worst happens.
As you'll see from my pics, I now modify all my plugs to add a eye, as a good attachment point for a string or thin chain. |
