When you're on a difficult level of a game where you can watch a video to get help, or to skip something, or pay to complete the level, do you?
I've watched videos for extras so I can complete levels but I refuse to pay real money to move on.
I don't like cheating |

Oh yes I do otherwise I would never be able to do it.
I never pay though. If it's a phone game I'll watch an advert and if it's Xbox I'll Google a walk through. |

Only in so far as I get my friend to explain it to me... so yes basically. I will nerd rage if I can't work out something repeatedly (because it's so rare that happens) and rather than unleash that on to the world, I get help. Or cheat as you describe it. |

I don't think watching walk-throughs and stuff are the same as cheating imo. I watched some for help with Dark Souls 3 and getting some of the different secret story lines and stuff i missed.
The real money to move on kinda thing is something really only on mobile games and they make them like that purposefully to make money off you.
I used cheats as a kid on stuff like GTA(think everyone did though tbf) and later on was VAC banned on steam for using cheats just for fun but its not something i would do now as i prefer overcoming the challenge and now mature enough to understand that i was just ruining my own and others experience

Yes.
I've even purchased books to get through mario levels. find the matching pairs, star worlds.
Admitted when it was snes and not recently.
I still kick my kids asses at Mario even with the smallest imaginable controls on the switch |

Nope I dont cheat on games.
Call it cheating but theres no way I could figure that part out in either games of resident evil or in 1 of the tombraider releases.
Used the info on the part I was stuck on and continue playing away.

Oh I forgot. I use walk-throughs or YouTube videos when I can't work out a puzzle, or can't be bothered to.
It can be frustrating when the clues are so obscure you need to be Stephen Hawking to figure them out.

In the past I,ve spent months on one level playstation 2, a Platinum level, war game did me in the end too much firepower, not enough ammo, or cover, spending 7 hours at a time sometimes more moveing through levels gets too tireing mentally over a given time, kids abilitys to handle such games is amazeing, thou I don,t miss mine anymore. |

In computer game terms, constantly. I will cheat, save scum and cheese rather than bother to actually learn how to stop being a noob. It probably says more about my personality than I should admit but I just wanna see the whole game without dying constantly . Nobody enjoys it when I ragequit |

I don’t play video games.
Does wii golf count?
Used to play that at team bonding nights back in the day.
I did like to take the short cut on to the par 5.

"always end up peaking at the walk throughs on tomb raider
only 2 games im aware of as it used backwards and forwards on the game to actually go forwards.
resident evil also did the same "
Do you mean the metrovania style of games where you can go back to previous areas to carry on with a new item or peice of a puzzle ect? |

"I’ve been stuck on one jump on Crash Bandicoot for six ducking months. Cheating isn’t an option. It’s me vs this child’s computer game, until the end."
I gave up on Bandicoot very early in the game as I couldn't get a jump and a rock kept killing me.
Hated that game. |

"I watch walkthroughs...there are several games that just seem very repetitive...and some that are beautiful "
I watch my son watch walk through of games he's playing.
They seem so complicated.
I long for the days of simple platform games. |
