First of all, I'm sorry for going all essex_tom on your asses. But this story is serious and just had to be in The Lounge. A binman was going about his bin business when he came across a snowman. And I don't mean the binman spaffed on the snowman, what happened wasn't that friendly. What happened was the binman did some well wicked kung fu and kicked the shit out of the snowman for being a snowman in the way on bin day. The ginger ninja refuse collector and part time martial artist carried out that act of violence while the little boy who bloody loved that snowman watched from a window. The little boy likes to watch the binmen, and had his heart broken, by a binman. The little boy told his mum. The little boy's mum told the council. The council sacked the snowman killer. Who's side are you on? Binman or snowman? |

Snowman.
I've seen the video for context. What a dickhead.
The snow on the ground was all gone, but that snowman would have lasted a while yet. A lasting reminder of fun times for the kids. |

Was said snowman blocking the path so the bin couldn't be emptied?
If so, then he had no choice but to knock it down, and the council could have sent an explanatory note with a £10 gift voucher for the boy, as a token of their apology.
If no, the binman should have been stood in the snow in his pants, so the boy could throw snowballs at him, made from the body parts of the murdered snowman.

This is just some hot-headed fucking punk trying to look hard by knocking over a snowman.
In the process he destroyed something that would have taken a lot of effort to make and brought some joy to people in the neighbourhood.
I'm glad he's lost his job.

He’s a representative of the council and that level of attention will question whether he should be employed.
I've watched the video and it wasn't in the way, didn't stop them doing their job and there was no need for it |

This is quite Marvel vs DC Universe and it could be settled over a dozen films.
However, it does remind me of when the miners at Betteshanger were on strike in 1984 and built a snow man which the rozzers ran over in their panda car. So they then built a second one. Around a concrete bollard.... |

The snowman wasn't even in the way. I'm sure there are other ways for binmen to display their masculine capabilities that don't involve wrecking kids much-loved snow creations. Not sure he should have lost his job, but judging by this one particular even it's likely that he is a knob in general. It could be the latest episode in a string of wanky offences for all we know. |

"It could be the latest episode in a string of wanky offences for all we know."
It is according to the Sun:
"Last July he was slapped with a 12-month community order, 120 hours of unpaid work and ordered to pay £250 for attacking a barman and headbutting two police officers in a d*unken rage." |

He could do with some anger management if that's correct. |

If it was a one off thing sacking is a bit extreme. However, this seems to have been the last straw.
My binmen are often lazy buggers that abandon the bin in the middle of the drive, rather than taking it back to where they collected it from. |

You couldn't make this shit up lmaooooo
I think the binmen is a massive fucking wanker but he didn't deserve to lose his job.
I also think the kid needs to rethink where he builds his snowman in the future.
But if the binman went out of the way to destroy the snowman for no good reason and saw said child crying at the window then he's a fucking monster and I hope he gets caught in a very nasty snow storm. |

But you're not saying he wasn't wanking over the snowman either, the pervert!
When I was a silly student, I built a giant snowpenis with matching huge snowballs with my mate Mark in the park opposite our house, and then some fucker sexually assaulted our happy chap with a similar ninja style kick to the shaft. Snow harm is REAL! |

The idiot in question isn't a binman, he was an agency worker. He's not been sacked, the council has told the agency that they don't want him back
He's also refused to apologise and said that snowmen don't have feelings, and doesn't think that anyone would care |

"Bin man. Agency worker or not, it’s a fucking snowman. They’re temporary. Mums a busy cunt taking the video to the papers"
It a not the fact that it was just a snowman it’s the fact that he thinks that it’s ok to destroy other peoples stuff.
Just like wankers who think it’s perfectly ok to tag and spay paint shit on peoples fences and walls.
It’s about mutual respect and this twat does not have any.

I am very surprised to see a fairly serious thread from you Jim.
I think It was inappropriate because it was his workplace and its not nice to smash someone's snowman! I don't think he should have been sacked just told to apologise to the kid though. |

Snowman.
Time for a new career for the refuse fella.
If he can smash a snowman on someone else's property that was clearly built by a child then he lacks empathy. Anyone who steps onto my property to handle my trash needs to be able to handle my trash with kindness!

He shouldnt be sacked just for kicking the snowman but we dont know whether he has previous live warnings within the company. However it's a bit ott to email the CCTV footage to the council this could of been dealt with a simple word the next time the bin man came round. |

In a perfect world yes but we all know that there are some people who would not give a flying fuck about it |

To be honest if he had done it to my child snowman and made them cry would have been to go outside and challenge the behaviour, I would have thought a smack in the gob would have made more impact on someone like that who when you read the story has largely had an issue because he refused to apologise. |

For fuck sake we're in lockdown and that snowman had been loitering around outside for over a day, that's not an hours exercise! Where are the police when they're needed, a £200 fine and sent home would have saved him getting his head kicked in. I blame the parents. |

Yeah it was a bit unnecessary and childish, but it was not actual property. It was out on the street, not on their own land. It was a damn snowman.
Jesus, that poor kid, having a pair of Karens for parents. I've not looked for any, but this truely is the type of story that has the potential to win the Compo face awards. Somebody please tell me it has a Compo face pic of the family pointing at the head of the snowman on the floor. |

You're temporary."
I’m permanently temporary. And kicking the head off a snowman is no reason to lose a job. Agency or not. Maintain the parents are cunts for grassing and going to the papers |

I am torn tbh. I mean Kids need to learn that life is shit sometimes and inevitably shit happens. You can't shield them from the shit. Is the Mother going to be there to fight for him each time something happens?
That said the poor snowman did not deserve to be annihilated like that, nobody deserves that not even a man made of snow
Not sure the guy deserved to lose his job over it |
