Yes, I sent a message via a profile and the system picked up the web site name in it and promptly banned me from sending messages for two hours. I do think it is a bit much that they monitor our private mails in this way.. Buy they own the site... | |||

I wondered why one of the sites I like to recommend for parties always got a spam warning. Surely that stops the message though."If you just got a warning, beware! I had no warning, just a two hour time out! Yes it stops the message, but I am not happy about my private mails being vetted in this way! It does mean that I will go back to using off site mail once initial contact is made, unless they stop email addresses next! | |||

BIG red letters at the top of the page telling me I cannot mail for two hours because of the Site Name I used.. | |||

As all mails go to the same place, it seems like lip service! | |||

Mistakes and mistjudgements occasionally do happen. We do ask that forum ban complaints are directed to us via the CONATCT link. If you contact us about a forum timeout we will look into it. If you don't hear back from us you can assume we think the timeout is fair . If you treat the forums as a bit of fun, you won't go far wrong and you're really unlikely to have any problems. "They don't monitor mails Rumour, it is automated and if some sites are blocked for spamming reasons thats when it happens, not that someone is sat reading your mails watching for a link. | |||

Check the chatroom logs. I got chucked out of there and tbf admin reinstated me when i contacted them. You check your logs. It is a matter of record. | |||

The true "story" of the ban of which i posted was in fact rescinded after contacting Admin through the proper channels. I'd be amazed if the word "snow" did not appear in the log or my "appeal". It should be simple for you to check the truth of the matter. | |||

I appreciate that recieving an automated short term ban would be annoying, but is there a better way of policing it?"
