I normally cook 30+ for burns night with neeps and tatties and a light whisky sauce. We always pipe in and address the haggis. I will have one alone this weekend.

It is swede but still called neeps.

You'd be most welcome DC, is that for the Haggis or the Whisky?

The problem is a Scottish turnip is an English swede.

Small round thing with a toughish purple skin, as opposed to a whitish with a soft skin.

It makes a really good cottage/shepherds pie and haggis potato cakes.

I know I'll go to hell for that!

My partner is Spanish so he likes to try all our trad food. We had haggis, neeps n tatties and I made my first whisky gravy. Super tasty!
