I just can not resist them and just ate 3. Feeling like a little piggy now. Who else loves them?

No joy. I know they do a variety of flavours now but do not think they make ones for diabetics.

Whilst out on a run yesterday I could smell toasted teacakes or hot cross buns as I ran past some houses... I was torturous to me

I absolutely love them but can't buy them as I will pig out on the pack.

Her x

I made some once. Proofing enriched dough can be a right pain (I think mine went through 3 rises to get beaten back and rise again). It was fun to melt the apricot jam (as the glaze) and I was surprised that the cross was just flour and water.

Was it worth the effort? Kinda. I enjoyed the outcome but it’s something you have to spend a good day doing and they are awfully cheap ready-made from the shops

I love them.

My daughter made some yesterday and I have to say that they are better than any shop bought ones, I was seriously impressed,

In fact just having one now with a cuppa!

I hate to admit this but (when I was a student) I once had an Easter job putting the crosses on the hot cross buns. I worked with 5 girls at the time and they had me blushing every day with tales of what they got up to, what they'd do with me, etc.

Great times.!!
