If I were limited to just 3 items it'd be the mixed starter for 2, prawn toast and salt n pepper ribs.
Yes, I would order entirely from the starter menu. No, I would have no regrets. It's the best bit of a Chinese takeaway. If I'm still hungry (unlikely!) I'll have a slice of toast |

Singapore Chow Mein.
Lemon Chicken with Egg Fried Rice.
Chicken and Mushroom Curry and Egg Fried Rice.
Orange Chicken and Egg Fried Rice (though not many actually do this)
Starters.
Large Spring Roll.
Sesame Prawn Toast.
Crispy Sea.
Puddings.
Banana Fritters (always). |

Beef tripe with chili sauce
BBQ pig feet and snouts
Cold Duck and Chicken feet
Frog Congee

Maybe get it from somewhere that doesn't use MSGs?
It's not essential and isn't used in traditional Chinese food.
Many restaurants have stopped using it.
You can also find MSGs in many other takeaway types (inc. KFC), soups, crisps, sausages and other processed meats (inc. corned beef, which I think I remember you saying you liked), etc. and it naturally occurs in tomatoes and some cheeses. |
