Like a lot of us, I am working from home and tied to a desk. In the interest of not having to break my front door to get out, I have started intermittent fasting

I am using the app, fastic. Anyone here already using? Any feedback or advice will be great

"What does the app do? "

It took my weight information, target, etc and created a plan to loose weight. I am fasting 16 hours a day since Monday. It has been good as I tend to snack a lot. I am now waking up with more energy

What times do you stick to? Like 11am to 7pm?

Sorry you asked for help but you're the one helping me.

Black tea?

You are inspiring me to give it a try. But not the tea.

I do Indian tea with little milk in the mornings and green tea later in the day (without milk). But comparatively, I am doing much better. Not having junk food/snacks is a buzz kill, but the cravings disappeared after the first two days. I am reasonably comfy with the schedule last 5 days or so.

I need junk food in lockdown. I'm hiring a crane to get me out of the house at Easter.

Don’t we all need clear, achievable targets

Are you sure you want to give up on the biscuits with your 11 am tea my good sir?

Just an update (want to say it out loud). I have lost 1.5 kilos with 10 days of using the app (I couldn’t do every day in the last 2 weeks).

This is good result as I am tied to my desk 8 am to 7 pm most days.

I'm not using any kind of app but I'm currently doing a 20 hour fast a few times a week. Trying to shift this last stubborn half a stone is tough.

I can imagine. I have gained three-quarters in the last 6 months. I will be a happy bunny if I loose a stone in total

20 hours is hardcore - I use the app for the alerts and timekeeping, it helps as I sit in mind numbing conf calls sometimes

The first few stone were easy but now it's so damn difficult.

I built myself up to it. I started off skipping breakfast then started pushing lunch back. Now I have a 170kcal protein yoghurt about 4pm so I don't ruin my appetite for dinner. It got easier over time and my level of hunger has reduced overall.

How long did it take to build up to it? I started only recently and have had 10 days in a row now after a few false starts.

A few weeks but like I said, I don't do it every day.
