Sometimes I hear a song and think "why did they do that? It would have sounded just fine if they'd used correct English".
Case in point:
I can't get no satisfaction" could easily have been "I can't any satisfaction" without losing any harmony or meaning.
Can you think of any other examples?
And does it bother anyone else or am I just being old? Lol |

I think it gives it a certain edge even if it does change the meaning of the entire song.  |

Could be. Some people won't even know its incorrect though.
I personally really dislike a double negative I like things to mean what they say. |

Oh that is the shocker though isn't it. That some won't even notice....and we're promoting bad English around the world through this medium. Many people around the world learn their English from movies and songs. So I can imagine everyone learning double negatives as the norm, lmao |
