Because there's still a stigma surrounding women owning their sexuality.

Societal conditioning.

Women are less interested in casual sex? I don't know how much that's true but I do think on a site like this the idea that if a person treats you with a basic level of respect/courtesy of even heaven forbid, you're friends... then somehow it's not casual sex. That attitude could put some off.

My friends who aren't on here who have casual sex partners tend to be real life friends with them or they've met them out and about.

Totally agree Meli, have found in my experience that women feel very differently to men about casual sex. It's not that we don't have it, just do it differently. The many men on here who are looking for casual sex/hook ups/NSA sex are just looking for a different type to the ladies = no compatibility

We're all capable of casual sex but look for it or need it differently ... me included

All my female friends off this site (i.e. vanilla friends) have such low sexual appetites, I'm always shocked when they tell me how little interest they have in sex. Now that's not a representative sample size for valid statistical assumptions on the female gender as a whole, but maybe less women want regular no strings sex?

In part I agree with Meli.

I'm really interested in this thread and with societal attitudes aside i'd be interested , especially as it's a swingers site , in how many people truly believe that women have lower sex drives ( excluding frequencies ) than men.

I don't think women have lower sex drives, men seem to get turned on easier and quicker ime.. my sex drive is often simmering, but it takes a lot more for me to actually want to have sex/to play.. For me, it is more about the anticipation and how I'd get there. It is the longing that is the fuel for my desire which makes it tricky!

It’s because there’s a lot less women out there in the real world compared to men, if you’re out and about you rarely see them, when you do see one men point and say ‘woman’, usually nudging each other, just to clarify one has been spotted.

I don't think any of my friends have low sex drives at all (not when we natter about it) but it's more they're totally disappointed in their blokes! It seems to start in relationships with regularity ie only Sat nights or at a given time, no effort made or appreciated, also I've noticed that in those scenarios men cum then that's it! So disappointment ensues meaning that after a few attempts that's it ... the want/desire leaves but not necessarily the sex drive!! Only generalising here to my experiences listening to friends (& even a few female friends on here tbh) ... very much why I'm never going to be interested in the turn up just to fuck brigades on here!!!

Yes, I think too often women are treated/viewed as disposable sexual commodities and that has a knock on effect on their (at least outward) sex drive. I don't think women on the whole do have a lower sex drive than men, that's an easy trope that's come about from years of a woman's sexuality being viewed as secondary to the man. Men are encouraged to be open about their need for sex, to talk about their penis to any willing come receptacle who will listen, etc

Personally speaking, I've found that my sex drive has been affected previously by feeling like I'm just a wank sock for a man - if I wanted to be that I'd get paid for it.

Because a woman who enjoys sex is a terrible slut. If she gets a few shags from dating sites that's ok because sex as part of a relationship is lovely and heartwarming. And expected.

If she is looking for sex on a site such as this she's worse than a sex worker. Sex should be between people in love, not for fun.

Probably because the amount of dickheads on here is increasing tenfold. Pregnancy offers are almost daily and messages from rude and vulgar men are increasing to multiple times a day.

I can understand why most ladies don’t last long on here

I definitely agree that when a lady first joins it's totally overwhelming and the pressure is immense! I've known a few ladies join and leave sometime within the first five days ... I've been back a few times lol

But I've never had a problem with rude messages etc but run my profile with all the wanted filters plus hidden it when I'm not online, don't have the time or the inclination, quite often hide my pictures completely and none of them are remotely explicit so I get left alone ... especially now I'm older!!!

Unfortunately there is a large percentage of males (cannot comment on others) that do treat it as a hook up site solely for their sexual gratification and

that treat/think ladies on here are little more than unpaid prostitutes which deters many ladies from staying.

Said it before and I'll say it til things change - women join the site, get bombarded with hundreds upon hundreds of mails before they've even read the FAQs or learnt about filters properly and that alone makes them feel like they're not only out of their depth, but seen as a vag and no more. They learn right there and then that there are sharks who will say what they think you want to hear (beautiful, gorgeous, sexy bla bla bla when the profile has zero pictures or text yet)

I felt like I'd been fed to sharks.

They're fucking exhausted just getting through life

They may tell a friend and get not shunned, but judged or told its a bad idea (even though that friend goes home with a different bloke most weekends when they're pissed up and carefree) and full of pervs or weirdos

They don't feel they deserve it. There's a huge list of things that need doing and we're taught quite early on that our wants and desires come AFTER everyone and everything else has been taken care of.

The pressure is to have to reply, getting second messages saying you're rude I'd you haven't. The pressure is even having the time to peruse because there isn't with all those waiting messages, the pressure, when you quite possibly don't even know yet what you're looking for yourself, to fulfill everyone's wants etc trust me you feel very much put under pressure

Also when you first join you don't know about the filters or the block button and have literally 200 messages that make you feel like a performing seal within the first 15 mins of joining and that's before you've even worked out how to put a picture on! You have guys appearing (creepily) to be nice that don't even have the courtesy to tell you about the filters or block button! Or where to find the FAQ! Seriously, people wonder why ladies join and then leave within their first week! They also call them fakes and men but I bet you that they're seriously mentally tired ladies that have probably been put off men for life! Hahahahahahahaha
