You have your answer already.
Of course not.
Not unless you told him he had your undivided attention which nothing could shake.
There's a lot of that goes on unfortunately. Normally when they only have a 40 second window to blow their beans before the wife gets suspicious |

I've had similar situations OP, when talking to people. If I don't reply straight away to a message or if I log off before seeing it. Next message I get will be the same that I'm wasting their time, which I have no intention or desire to do. I understand people get frustrated on here and unfortunately have been messed around. But patience and kindness goes a long way, just take it as it comes and try not to have an expectation in your head or you maybe disappointed. |

Ignore idiots like that. Likely it wouldn't have worked anyway |

"And i didnt even butter the crumpets as i didnt want to stop the chat.
Never put someone before you buttering your crumpets!

Is this a book you are quoting or from your own knowledge, asking for a friend they may need this book |

I concur... I’m sorry we can be mid flow but if there are unbuttered crumpets somewhere they need attending to. Time stands still for no crumpet...

I’d call that a lucky escape OP!
I once had a similar scenario with a gent over WhatsApp from here, I was on there responding to a group work chat, during my work hours. His message (amongst others) remained unread until an appropriate time. However, he must’ve noticed I was online and hadn’t responded to his earlier message and lost it. Got himself all wound up, hurled a load of abuse and then blocked me.
I consider it as the rubbish taking itself out |

Was he right to end things and block you? In a way yes, it was his choice and it was not wrong. Regardless of the reason he was right to do whatever he chose to do.
Now, were those choices hastily and incorrectly implemented? Of course they were, your actions were justified and not deserving of the outcome. |

I read a very lengthy first message at around 2am one morning. It needed more energy than i had to engage at the time, so i turned it unread, aiming to reply the next evening. The next morning there was a grumpy /terse ... Oh see you've read / not replied blah blah blah , so then i felt forced to reply to explain i needed more time, but i was irritated at having to explain myself because someone else made an assumption
So you are not alone OP |
