Who would find you?
I work for myself and alone, my few friends are the type that we don't speak for months and I live alone with no family. My bills are paid by DD so until the money ran out nobody would come looking.
Scary shit. |

Neighbours? Would they notice? |

I see my kids fortnightly so my ex would eventually get concerned and call the authorities, also my work mates know I live alone and if I didn’t sign in (working from home currently) would also contact someone.
So nobody to give me CPR but plenty who would notice I wasn’t around. |

No neighbours and I'm very private, haven't seen the ones I do have in over a year |

I also work perm nights so the curtains closed during the day is normal, the postie also can't see through the door so the mail would need to be 4ft high before he noticed. |

It's funny but we were just talking about this in relation to my parents. The only way to keep sane where they're concerned is to employ gallows humour and we were wondering how long it would take my father to notice that my mum had died if it happened in the day time. |

I had that conversation with my sister. We came to the conclusion that Dad would notice if Mum went first, because she makes him tea and lunch.
Mum probably wouldn't notice if Dad went until she either ran out of mugs or plates or couldn't find a space to put the mug or plate down in front of him. |

My dad rang me one evening to say he wondered if mum had had a stroke. He said "I thought I'd better ring, I can't go to bed and just leave her can I" |

I get regular phone calls about 2 pm saying "I can't get hold of mum and she was doing lunch for 1 o clock. Can you come and find her?" |

Probably my FWB would notice first. If he couldn’t get hold of me for a couple of days he’d probably come round, but he doesn’t have a key so he’d probably call my Dad. So I guess it would be them. |

Hmmm I actually had a thought of this a while again and I though a number of days/possibly week or so...I live with my sister but we generally keep to ourselves. If she needs me she usually texts me and if I didn't answer she'd assume I was fine.
My family are used to me not being in contact and a lot of my friends too...I'm terrible at keeping in touch with people woops! |

I'd like to say my mum as I live with her and she'd notice the bedroom door was still shut.
God forbid she didn't notice she soon would when my sister who I speak to every day would send her to check on me when she couldn't get hold me!! |

Work would be on the phone first thing if I was a no show.
Apart from that it would be family...probably my kids.
I think they'd hate it if I was found by a stranger.
But..they are older so as traumatic as that would be I'd imagine it would be worse for someone much younger. |

Part of it made me chuckle. I have morbid sense of humour.
I get it would be less distressing possibly. Depending on the cause of death. Body decay. Odour. Would you prefer that? |

No one really.
I'd be found like an acquaintance was found a few years ago.
Juicy and covered in flies.
I guess my daughter ( 250 miles away ) would eventually phone my friend, who would make a grisly discovery.
My friend calls often tho ..... So after a few hours of me not answering texts he'd beat the door and then call the police.
Either way ....... im already dead whoever gets there.
Hope im not dildoing in the middle of it all. |

One of my friends (who is a policeman) was the first to find a lad who died mid wank
His Mum had called them as she hadn't heard from him in a couple of days
Thankfully, he'd asked her to wait downstairs whilst he went up |

I'm in an almost identical position, hence since last March I've had daily contact (text) with family members. If the other person doesn't respond, then a phone call is made to check |

I'm pretty much in same position and have had these thoughts a few times. I consciously put it out of my head as it upset me but for many, it's the life we live now, disconnected, disinterested and fear of being the nosey neighbour. |

If I died I’m my sleep, there’s one thing for sure, I wouldn’t wake to go to work and as for someone finding me, ermmmmmm perhaps next door after the smell had drifted under the door
Seriously, it is a tad scary |

What a horrible thought!
I live alone too and don't have close family.
I talk to friends daily but I'm flaky and it would take time for them to take me not answering the phone seriously.
It almost makes me want a relationship
...... nope changed my mind already I was just having a little moment there
