This afternoon/ evening ive been on a boggy woodland 27 mile dark mtb ride in south derbyshire with a pal... afew fall offs, head to toe covered in mud + a sleet storm and wading through knee deep river water... just amazing being out in the fresh air...
however nothing beats that post ride red hot relaxing bath with a bottle of red & copious amounts of chocolate a perve on fab & a takaway on order... thats bliss!

"I presume that the 27 miles was done on a 5 mile loop course?"
No circular route we hit 6 woodlands adjoined by footpaths & a few village road stints |

When I was doing building work in Central America I had to be up at 6am and we were on site and working by 7am (before it got too hot).
Generally finished a day of hard labour(and I mean hard...digging foundations, mixing cement by hand etc etc) around 3pm and getting back home and stepping into that cold (or occasionally luke warm) shower was absoltely fucking bliss
Wonderful |

Open water swimming for me.
Beautiful day, sea lovely and calm like glass, really quiet effortlessly gliding through the water then stopping lay on back and just enjoy the feeling of being completely at one with the planet and the water, looking up at the sky.
That's a sweet Spot right there. |

Can't beat the fresh air. I did a quick walk this morning, the first time I've had chance of fresh air all week, it really did lift my mood "
