"Why do they sell crumpets in packs of 9 when the average toaster and only take 2 at the time Why ????
What do you put on yours ? "
I think it's maybe down to even packaging...if there where 10 it wouldn't pack as neat, I love loads of butter...lush |

"I toast mine under the grill 3 at a time. 2 for me, 1 for the dogs.
I have butter and either Marmite or Marmalade on mine.
The dogs have butter."
A true dog lover ! |

"I find them tasteless & think they belong in the bin
Oh dear. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear
Maybe I just haven't found the perfect topping lol I've tried with butter & Nutella & it's like eating cardboard "
Don't get cheap ones. Get decent ones. And butter - LOTS of butter! |

Yes I agree - and I like the base crispy and the tops lightly grilled. If I have for lunch I prefer no butter and lots of grilled cheese on top after the top is lightly done. |

"Hotdog buns in packs of 6 but hotdogs in packs of 8"
To be honest I never noticed that. Maybe you are meant to eat two to check for quality control lol . |

Butter...some more butter then a poached egg on each one with salt and pepper. I do have a bit of trypophobia and anything else covered in holes does make my skin crawl, but my sheer willpower I can overlook it when it comes to crumpets. If you cant fit 9 in your toaster, get another toaster. Or grill them. |

I bought a cheap replacement toaster from Wilco and the cradles are too close for crumpets to fit. Grrrr! |

After reading this thread I couldn’t stop thinking about marmite & butter on crumpets when I was in work, even though I’d never tried it before! Had it when I got home and damn they didn’t disappoint! |

I knew that would provoke disgust.
Can’t stand butter on them, I don’t like having pockets of liquid grease squish out when it bite them.
I’m fine with a scrape on toast as it soaks it up. |
