Worthing

Don't feed them bread though. It fills them up without giving any nutrients. Seed is fine.

Derby

Peas and sweetcorn is good, different ducks will eat varying salt type stuff and as above, seed is also good for them.

At a push and if you have no other option, seeded bread IS ok because ducks and swans etc often now go without being fed because of that information coming out not to feed them bread. What happened was they ended up not being fed at all instead so the RSPB & RSCPA etc changed their view on feeding bread.

It depends on what you feed them. Bread is a really bad thing to feed ducks for several reasons. If you do, we'll tell you off if we catch you.

I feed the pigeons, I sometimes feed the sparrows too, it gives me a sense of enormous well-being.

It depends whether you are giving food to actual ducks or performing the old “viz” euphemism of feeding the ducks.....

Stay in

If the weather predictions are right for the next two days, the ducks will come to you

Why feed them when you can steal them?

I feed the birds on the lake seeded bread. It's a myth that bread affects swan's wings.

The rats also like the bread, but I give the squirrels nuts.

I might take a bag of peas over next time, but I need to find out if I can sit on a bench for 5 minutes to recover from the walk to the park; otherwise I'll have to get the bus and that's defeating the object of going for exercise and not the safest thing to do, at the moment.

If I can't get to the park I still feed the birds in my garden.

I have sparrows, robins, Great tits, wrens and pigeons.

They get birds seed and fat blocks with insects in.
