So, I know I’m late to the show as it came out during the first lockdown (LMAO)
I’ve watched the first episode back then but it didn’t really caught me so I left it, and went back to it last night and sticked to the first 5 episodes
Overall I really like it but I find the pace to be quick and confusing at times, also those two really annoyed me at times with their different behaviours (wanted to slap both Marienne and Connel)
Having said that really nice job at conveying all these emotions
Has anyone read the book? And did you prefer it to the show?
Ps: he’s quite fit and whole show has inforced how much I love the Irish accent  |

Finished the show and I’m glad I sticked to it till the end, certain parts were a bit slow at timed, and some frustrating because of the miscommunications they had.
I wish they developed a bit more a few secondary characters to give us a better idea on why Connell and Marienne were like that
For example, wanted a bit of back story on the bastard brother who treated Marienne so poorly and her mum. Also, what happened to some of Marienne’s best friends from Uni??
Some that might have been important, ended up feeling so flat and unidimensional.
It was interesting to see how they were in and out of each other’s lives and kept finding their way back...but overall, even if they elevated each other as people and supported each other, I thought they were a bad fit as a couple. Compatible, but too much tip toeing that ended up in them breaking up, or fighting. It gets tiring over time when you are in a relationship like that. Shouldn’t be that hard..
This type of situation ship/relationship also reminded me of someone I used to be with, and he would do anything for his ex, and she’d be in and out of his life even if she moved on. Kinda touched my wrong vibes on that
My favourite episode tho was the one were they were in Italy, absolutely stunning! Love the cinematography and the music too of the show.
Also GOT a big crush on the Actor now  he’s a stunner
I know this show is old news now haha (late to the party) but yeah, if anyone watched it and wanted to comment, I’d be happy |
