No holidays
It doesn't feel right
I feel 'safe' at home
I like a city with a beach environment
Holidays to me are as much about getting up and doing stuff as they are about relaxing and chilling out
At the minute, being amongst hundreds of other people isn't relaxing for me
So, no holidays
I've booked a couple of stand up shows though, but one of those is mid April, so that's looking doubtful |

I don’t see the point in booking anything only for it to be cancelled and then wait months for a refund.
Incase you haven’t been watching Rip off holidays on BBC a number of companies have withdrawn from ABTA so they don’t have to pay out. On The Beach being one of them
Next time I travel abroad I want to know it will be safe to do so. I don’t want any ‘maybe’ to spoil my hard earned break.
I suspect a Covid vaccine certificate will become part of your passport qualification to travel in the future |

My ambitions just now don’t stretch to a holiday. I may allow myself to dream of booking to visit a pub though.
When things are better - three month bike ride through Europe to Istanbul. Other than the Harwich to Hook ferry, nothing to book.
Who’s coming with me? |

I know Qantas has announced a vaccine requirement in future.
Looks like I'll be flying Qantas when I go to see my family. I like airlines that care about passenger safety. |

We have a holiday booked for June but it is a rebooked one from last September.
We haven't made any decision yet as to whether we are going to try and we arrange it again and will wait to see what happens. |

People are dying of covid, here, and around the world.
Who in their right mind would prioritise travelling abroad to new places to meet strangers who could all infect you?
WTF |

I can't see anybody on this thread that is prioritising it.

As did we.
A holiday was meant to be last summer and had been booked pre covid. |

To be honest I think if the thought of a holiday is keeping someone going during these uncertain times then let them be hopeful. |

"Cancelled mine.
Will stick to the uk once things are better
Wales is top of the list "
You'll definitely stick to Wales, you will however, need to wipe your feet when you leave, and that's if they've left the gate open! |

Nope - sitting tight for now & see what happens,
Shame as I hit a significant birthday this year & was going to treat myself to a once in a lifetime type holiday - hey ho, at least the credit card can breathe easy! |

Yes ,
Yorkshire beginning of June and mid Wales beginning of September rescheduled from last Easter.
Fingers crossed.
Have cruised the last 3 years prior to 2020 but can't see that happening for another couple of years so will be supporting the UK holidayindustry;-) |

Opening up the borders and allowing overseas holidays was one reason the virus has kicked off again. I hope the Govt stops all non essential overseas travel for most of 2021.
Lots of fantastic places to visit in UK, and when it’s safe and legal to do so I’m going on a road trip to see family in friends all over. |

I was looking at cottages in Cornwall last night. The prices have definitely gone up and a lot of the nicer places aren't available throughout the school hols already!
I wouldn't consider going abroad this year. |

Why do you assume holidays are for the purpose of meeting strangers ?"
I'm assuming nothing. The purpose of the holiday is irrelevant. It will regardless for certain bring you closer to strangers than you need to be. |

By that logic so does leaving the house for any reason anywhere in the world. |

Not a chance of me booking anything this year. I was lucky enough to get 10 days away in Jan last year before everything went wrong(first holiday in over 30 years) and should have been going to San Francisco in September. But as things are all I'm planning on is a little trip to east Anglia in the car which I hope is going to be possible? Due to ill health I'd missed two summers and was really hoping to make the most of last year. So that's three in a row now. Let's hope this one isn't a write off and I get to see the sun this year? |

Well East Anglia is lovely, especially in the Summer and I'm sure you'll get your trip |

With UK holidays you don't get temperatures in the 30s or to experience different cultures, architecture, landscapes and cuisine. |

Come on, we all know the first things Brits do when they get abroad is ask for egg and chips and find a bar playing Only fools and Horses. |

No. I'm waiting to learn more about the situation here and elsewhere.
I don't like the experience of last year and trying to get changes to bookings etc. The money is safer with me.
Choices will likely be different later and that's fine as I have flexibility |

"I had tickets to a festival in Holland last June which was obvs cancelled . They are valid for this June's festival, but cant see that happening either "
They're still hopeful to be up and running again by festival season.
I've booked flights to the Netherlands for September. Might go over in summer holiday as well, but wait a bit longer before booking and see what things are like nearer the time x |

Nope, can’t make our minds up what we want to do.
When I look at how much we’ve saved over the last 12 months by not going out it’s making us think twice about how much we spend in the future. We’ve become very savvy. |

2 planned - one abroad & 1 in the UK - both booked last year. Had 1 cancelled last year & we cancelled one a couple of weeks ago when we were in tier 3 & could travel but we decided against it. Also had a couple of weekends in UK cancelled.
We look forward to when we can travel again. |

No plans yet but will be up for it when things ease. I like spontaneous and don't mind flights only, last minute, patch it together trusty kind of adventures. They're good for the soul!
My son wants to go abroad for his 16th in October.. Fingers crossed we will manage something for him.

3 cancelled last year moved one to March one to end of April and the other to July. Don't expect to go on any. Had not claimed money back in order to support the companies we booked through but might have to if cancelled again |
