I think that's a dreadfully sad way of looking at things!
I offer to wash up willing when I've been cooked a dinner ... it's not 'paying for it' more saying thank you, more just good manners, more appreciation! So when I cook for friends, them bringing a bottle of wine is them paying for the meal? For my time? What a strange way of looking at things!! A very sad way of looking at things!
I've had sex all my adult life and not once have I felt I've been paid for it nor have they felt they're paying for it! Thankfully we're happy people that love enjoying each other's company and don't need such negative sad thoughts! |

"Quite a few men feel that keeping their own home clean is somehow helping a partner or entitles them to sex. It's a funny old world. "
Is this the same type of person who calls looking after his own children "babysitting"? |

I've heard it described as that before! It's really sad ... |

Yeah, it always irritates me when men say things like ‘I hoovered for you’ or ‘I’ve put the washing on for you’ as though they’ve done the little wife a huge favour by helping to keep their own home clean and tidy. And don’t get me started on the men who say they can’t go out because they’re babysitting their own children! Imagine if the mums called parenting ‘babysitting’?!

Ain't that the truth. Same kind that class looking after their own kids babysitting and contributing to the household as helping out! |

"If housework pays for sex there's a lot of women owed a LOT of sex
And men may I add
Its the done thing when my kids were young I worked nights and did most of the house work/cooking.
"
Yes, we've always had the attitude that keeping our house clean and caring for our children isn't something that we keep a tally of. |

Is this a change in the law you are talking about? I haven't seen much news this weekend.
By the way, washing up (and multiple other things) is just a common courtesy. It's not paying for sex any more than giving your mate a lift home from the pub is paying for friendship. |

There and to the left a bit |
Which 70s comedian's joke book have you raided OP?
Sex shouldn't feel like being "on a promise" for having done something good, or something "paid for" because you did a chore, or paid for dinner, it should happen naturally because you *both* want to.
Relationships are about give and take equally on both sides - just because you paid for dinner, doesn't mean your partner hadn't done something else and therefore you are "owed".
It's why, within the realms of Fab meets, many people believe in splitting costs evenly to avoid any sense of obligation or feeling sex has somehow been "bought". |

If my searching has led me to the correct spot...
There's a private member's bill going through parliament advocating for the Nordic model of sex work criminalisation: criminalise the buying not the selling. (Among other things) |

Ah, the Nordic model. We think it's a terrible idea. I know people have been pushing it for years. I didn't know there was a bill coming forward. I hope it doesn't get anywhere. |

I see pros and cons.
What I don't see is "criminalising men who think that contributing to a clean house or being nice entitles them to sex" |

Do you mean to say the man who cooked some chipolatas after we had sex and gave me one was paying me for the sex we had just had?
I'm deeply offended; I would have asked for a jumbo sausage if I had known |

That won't deter the pimps who run illegal brothels will it.

Apparently they are proposing the Nordic model regarding sex work. Buying sex would be criminalised, as would be advertising sex for sale on websites.
There’s enough people on here pedalling their wares for sale and offering to buy sex, even if it is against the rules. |
