Why can't they make films like this anymore
The 2nd was hilarious with the star trek style doors with a man making the "woooosh" sound as they opened
It's my favourite type of comedy |

- You'd better tell the Captain we've got to land as soon as we can. This woman has to be gotten to a hospital.
- A hospital? What is it?
- It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now |

I love this silliness in comedy.
The Naked Gun films were epic as well.
The "blast from past scene" that showed them in the 70s.
That guys afro was so big he couldn't fit through the door

Based on zero hour, 1957, Arthur hailey who did airport etc...
Should be something on YouTube with some of the scenes back to back. The 'shirley you cant be serious' is even more funny when you see the original. |

Thing is I suspect it's one of those films that would be lost on kids today - not only because of the type of humour but also the point of reference of all those Airport and similar disaster movies we grew up with in the 70s |

"When he takes off his sunglasses and reveals another pair of sunglasses underneath. Cracks me up everytime. "
Exactly!
It's this kind of whacky humour I love |
