Surely everyone has been in the same boat for a while now struggling to find series/films to watch.

Sopranos I’ve recently started. After years of being told to watch it. Great watch!

I keep banging on about this, but find the series box sets of Nurse Jackie

It's about a New York A&E nurse who is also addicted to prescription drugs and chronicles her struggles

Loads of dramatic shifts and turns in it, but it is also really funny at times

You find yourself in a love / hate relationship with her

The lead role is played by Edie Falco who, if you have been watching The Sopranos, you will recognise as Carmela

I'm always late to the party and usually watch things in my own time. My latest (!) was Breaking Bad. That's probably best tv show I watched in months. Even though I'm years late

Never heard of that before, I will have a look for it.

I find some hospital based programs to be all quite similar sometimes!

Supernatural. Seasons 1-5 are some of the best TV I've seen and even after has some good good moments.

The issue I face with best ever series is that a lot of them jump the shark and perhaps don't end at the right time.

Series one is a bit slow.

But after that it's epic.

Some of the stories and missions are brilliant.

You get a real insight into how the President works in times of crisis, nuclear bombs, non stop action.

It's worth watching

The first couple of series were on BBC2 about 7/8 years back

It's based in a hospital and whilst they need to include some patients for context, this isn't ER or Casualty

It's more about the descent of an addict, the stunts she plays to get what she wants, the people around her and how she touches them

There is a lot of comedy in it despite the somewhat tough theme

I am a bit disappointed really with what's available in English.

I have been slowly working my way through Endeavor and old Poirot episodes which are quite entertaining ..

Also Loved

Sons of Anarchy

Breaking Bad

GOT

Vikings

Spartacus

Between lockdown was

The Deuce and Vinyl ( loved both of them )

This lockdown its been mainly foreign stuff

The Bridge

Swingers

The Killing

and then in the free time I have left dipping in and out of the amazing amount of continental drama on All4 .. some amazingly good box sets on there that I enjoy .

Oh and for balance from all the SDRNR I have been watching the Blue planet .. super relaxing

So, in terms of Solid and consistent the whole way through, for MY money you won't beat Sons of Anarchy.

There is a myriad of special mentions;

Spartacus, The Last Kingdom, Carnival Row and many more I'm sure I'm overlooking! but yeah, for consistent solid episodes throughout.. SoA takes it.

The Shield - one of the great US cop shows. Inspired by the Rampart scandal, in which a tight strike team of police were successful in halving the drug trade in their LA area until someone realised the cops had just taken it over. If you like The Sopranos you'll like The Shield.
