I read every profile of someone I’m going to message to see if it’s worth my while and to see if there are a anything that I can say as a springboard for chat. Genuinely baffled by anyone that won’t read a profile. Seems like a waste of time |

Sadly not.
Very few men seem to read profiles, regardless of how genuine they are.
Most of the messages I receive are from men assuming that I might meet them. A very quick look at my profile shows that I am only meeting ladies... when it's safe to do so. |

Those are the figures from the 2019 data set, the analysis of 2020 is still ongoing. Using the larger samples available over the ten year period 2009-2019, the confidence level can be narrowed to the 0.5% interval, revealing:
Women 36.5%
Men 18.0%
Couples MF 32.5%, MM 29.0%, FF 34.5%
TV/TS 41.0% (pre-surgery 39.5%, post-surgery 44%)

I would class those men as not genuine and time wasters, no ?
It may well be true that most people don’t read profiles but those that do, and respond where appropriate, are what I would call genuine whether male, female or couples. |

 No way of knowing the split betwen men/ women/ couples/ TV's due to stealth mode.
I'd say the majority do actually read profiles. I can get over 100 views a day but only 1 or 2 messages. |
