What's the song lyric you completely misheard for years?
Jump to: Newest in thread
In Bob Dylan’s ‘The Times They Are A Changing’ I always heard one line as “if you timed the USA saving” which I thought was a reference to the delayed entry into the world wars.
However it quite clearly was and is “if your time to you is worth saving”...guess I was young, hard of hearing and just reading too much into Dylan lol |

"At the end of queens one vision. I swear to this day Freddie ends it with *fried chicken*
J
As far as I know it is that "
This so true!
At their gigs people use to hold up chickens for this reason! |

"Mine's from Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix:
Thought it was:
"Scuse me while I kiss this guy”
Correct lyric is:
“Scuse me while I kiss the sky”
What's yours?! "

"Madonna’s La Isla Bonita, for years I thought it was ‘ A young girl with eyes like potatoes’"
I thought the opening line to this was "last night I dreamt of some dago" which I thought was hugely offensive. |

Being partially deaf I mishear lyrics all the time much to the amusement of everyone. Once I know the correct lyrics I can right myself but sometimes my version sticks.
Jess Glynne’s Hold My Hand will forever be ‘I’m making a list’. I just can’t bring myself to sing ‘I’m ready for this’ because I’ve never heard her sing that . |

Whenever I hear ‘slow hands’ by one of the 1D Dweebs, I hear ‘cold hands’.
Either I have been up north too long or game of thrones book permeated my brain more than I thought! |
